Without any fucking integrity whatsoever the author uses race and a death to politicize his viewpoint then goes into some bullshit about his Beastie Boy admiration to justify his racial statement. What an ass.
nugget of turd from the above link,
Now, half-white Barack Obama (exactly my age) didn’t say a word, even though he was talking to college kids that day, but make no mistake, MCA was no Jay-Z or Kanye West. This guy was the real deal, groundbreaker, up from his bootstraps, Brooklyn boy made good. Funny the “coolest president ever” doesn’t say a word about the passing of MCA. Weird and kinda sad, actually.

This brilliant nugget brought to you by Arturo:
"I agree. Those that voted for Ob*maCare are responsible for my parents' and grandparents' upcoming murders by the Death Panels (IAB) setup under Ob*maCare, a law that NOBODY had any time to read.
In a macabre sense, Jared Loughner, who shot Gabrielle Giffords, took action to oust her from office."

if you recall...the B Boys did a few gigs before the 2008 elections, do not recall if it was still call "Rock the Vote" or whatever at the time, but even though it was supposed to be "Non Partisan" it was clearly a traveling pep rally for Obama to help get out the college vote for the man.
You would think he would give out some praise to MCA's passing, maybe he was too busy playing golf or something.
He praised coke snorting Whitney but no love for straight shooter MCA..

Valvano, your views conflict with sanity.
I mean, can't you understand that you're being extremely insensitive? And just making meaningless pseudo-digs at the president for what? Seriously how much pleasure could you possibly get out of this?
You're lazy, you're a complainer. And if you think the president, one man, is holding you down or the whole country, you're pathetic. I mean, can't you just grow up and understand you're on a losing side? You are not rational, you're stuck in the past and you have no self-reflection, no cultural awareness...no basic sensitivity to the fact that you're a huge fucking prick and nobody likes you or your dumb ideas!

sorry, uneducated idiot post:why is everyone having a go because valvano posted this and not having a go at who wrote it. i'm confused. Its a very insensitive article and valvano has delivered it with even more insensitivity but i'm confused why no one is having a go at the dude who wrote it as well. Yes valvano should have realised he was going to upset people(including me) but dont we have a right to know that this kind of shite is being written?
For the record it seems like the thread starter would have had a go at obama if he had said something about mca, feels like valvano would have told us barrack trying to gain favour by saying something.
As silence said, probably shouldnt get involved and i may regret this..
There has been some response (http://www.mediaite.com/online/washington-times-columnist-blasts-obama-for-not-responding-to-beastie-boys-death/) to the article in the Washington Times from other press.
Above link about sums it up.
But you can't blame political cheap shots by the politically cheap.

adam, that article does say most of it.
I'm just a bit confused why everyone is jumping down valvano's throat. If i had seen that article i may have posted it here under a title like "look at what this dickhead" wrote and then potentially discussed the article (or not). I dont think i would have got any stick for posting it. All i am saying, and i am by no means sticking up for anyone here, is that the the thread title was the essence of the article and valvano didnt embellish it any. There was no politicizing tragedy by valvano, that shit had already been done.
If i was reacting to the post, i may have said something like "thats a terrible thing to say and its going to make some people upset, i hope no-one else on here thinks thats got anything to do with the grieving people are doing on here".
What i am saying is that in the current scheme of things , is that this article and its posting shouldnt be something we all lose it about because we are upset. Its someones (very wrong) opinion and we should choose not to get angry about it and concentrate on positivity.
I'm sorry i hope i havent offended anyone and really am not trying to wind anyone up, i really should know better than to come on this part of the board but i felt compelled to say something.

The act of posting the article in the political forum is how he's politicizing tragedy. He didn't have to post it, he wanted to ruffle feathers. Valvano also posted some bullshit when Yauch was diagnosed. It was removed, and I can't remember what it said, but it was terrible enough to make people upset and ask for its removal.
I think the people here just want to scream at Valvano and shake him and ask "what the fuck is wrong with you?!" at almost everything he posts. And part of that frustration is that he doesn't embellish, he'll post an easily debunked or trashy article, then make little snide comments and insult people. and he doesn't actually answer questions or talk about where he's coming from. He looks down his nose at everyone, yet has no facts to back up his ridiculous opinions. And he keeps this up, has kept it up for years. Like he's educating us or something...it's sad. Valvano is a sad person who needs to disparage everyone and everything that isn't exactly him.

Its fun to post an article with none of my own commentary, and watch all the libtards here have a freaking meltdown. And of course, out comes the name calling, what a liberal does when logic and facts have pointed out the hypocrisy they show. sort of like the hypocrisy of liberals in defending an administration that looks the other way when selling guns to Mexican cartels but wants to control more and more aspects of the private lives of Americans (see today's news regarding obesity).
and yes, when MCA first got sick, I stated that he should turn his healthcare over to the control of the US Govt, since as an admitted Obama supporter he should have put his money where his mouth was. but as with most liberals, especially celebrity libs, hypocrisy rules the day.
a person can still be a huge fan and follower of a musical artist yet still totally disagree with their political and social leanings...

contextually, your response makes no sense so I quoted a beastie boys line.
you are indeed a disaster though.
I was pretty disappointed that Rachel Maddow discussed the Beastie Boys' record sales, as compared to Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston's, as the reason Yauch didn't get his shout out from Obama. Many avenues could have been taken there and she chose the worst.

My meltdown has nothing to do with me being a liberal. Especially considering I'm a fiscal conservative. Tell me what "logic and facts" have pointed out my "hypocrisy". I would seriously like you to explain. I don't defend Obama's administration, nobody here does. We're all questioning it. And what was today's news regarding obesity? you just neglect to actually say anything sometimes. I'm guessing you're saying that regulating food is stifling freedom? Well, normal people would agree that allowing corporations to poison the population is stifling freedom. It's predatory, and it's normal to take action to stop predatory behavior.
and yes, when MCA first got sick, I stated that he should turn his healthcare over to the control of the US Govt, since as an admitted Obama supporter he should have put his money where his mouth was. but as with most liberals, especially celebrity libs, hypocrisy rules the day.
So, you posted that he should turn over his healthcare to the government on a messageboard, and because he didn't, he's a hypocrite? what? Providing a basic level of healthcare for citizens does not take away the ability to pay for more and better healthcare if you have the extra money. There is no existing generalized "government healthcare" for people who are not government employees or low income. So, how, pray tell, could he have "put his money where his mouth was"?
You see, what "liberals" (I call them "normal people") want, is the same thing every other advanced country already has: a way to provide basic quality of life services for its citizens. Universal healthcare doesn't negate competition or capitalism, it doesn't turn us into a nanny state, it takes a tiny slice of the great and vast wealth we have as a country and applies it to the people instead of toward more profit. Because a suffering populace only creates more hardship for everyone. Because a healthy and happier populace is more productive. Because taking care of people is the responsible thing to do. Because you can ignore the weak and the sick, but they still exist.
In conclusion, you're gross, stuck up, lame, annoying, stupid, selfish and mean. And I will never stop speaking out against you and people like you. You're the true hypocrite.

I don't see it like that. Everyone's all "ignore it, rise above" when some jerk starts saying stupid stuff. Well, I don't think that works, I like to address people directly. It's like when I was teaching, most teachers ignore the bad kids, but I just talked to them to find out what they were asking for with their behavior. And found more success in dealing with them. I feel like I'm doing that with valvano. Except he's an adult, so I'm calling him out in more explicit terms. I'm not ashamed of my anger.
