I posted about this a few months ago but never got around to taking pictures because my son was born and, well, kids are all consuming - and amazing.
I bought this in 2003 from a guy in Boston. I have no idea if it is real or not. I like it nonetheless and plan to frame it for my son. Maybe he will grow up to appreciate it like I do.
I love this picture because it captures the rather "experimental" Paul's Boutique era quite well. I think it also immortalizes MCA's goatee. What do you think?

well it's either kind of odd that Mike D & MCA signed each others faces or it's hilarious. I have no idea if it's real or not. Ad Rock's tag has been pretty well documented if memory serves.
either way it's a cool poster.

I feel the same way. Apparently there was a signing in or around Boston in support of Paul's Boutique but that's about all I know. The guy that I bought it from owned a record store at the time. Thanks for checking it out.

Ya you're right, the boys did do a record store appearance in Boston in 89 to promote PB. This is one of 2 posters they put out. The other one is round.

Woah...that's very cool. I love seeing this stuff.
I have the Press Release/marketing kit for PB. According to the marketing kit it says, "A major street poser campaign consistin of three posters will appear in eight cities: New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Wash. D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and Dallas."

I think this is my way of dealing with MCA's death. I've come of age with the Beastie Boys and they've always been a constant in my life. It's neat to go rediscover the things that I've collected over the years and think about the good memories. Just found the round Paul's Boutique poster also. Time to get all of these framed and display them properly. Thanks again for taking a look.
