Nick Hanauer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Hanauer) is a different type of venture capitalist who was invited to talk @ a "TED (http://www.ted.com/talks) talks" a symposium of rich corporations (here are a few of the players (http://www.ted.com/pages/tedtalks_sponsors)) but after inviting him to share his ideas, They Banned His Talk!

Which of course will probably make it the most popular talk they've ever presented.

So without any further ado Nick Hanauer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBx2Y5HhplI)

Interesting...I thought it was pretty benign, and made perfect sense. I guess they're upset about him advocating for higher taxes. Taxes are not evil, sheesh. Why do corporations/rich people think they'll shrivel up and die if they have to pay one more penny? If they're not competitive enough to survive, if their profit is that sliver thin, maybe they should shrivel up.

Because I don't get how de-funding everything fixes anything. I mean, we used to build skyscrapers by hand in this country, before electricity. We built highways, navigated extreme landscapes...we had pride in quality. Pride in wealth without quality is empty.

I wish we could go back to the days where people were good at things and so they did that as a job. It wasn't just about going to college to do the bare minimum for a degree that you chose for its starting salary. Our society is bloated with tasteless arrogant buffoons who think they're important because they get paid enough to afford to get fat and waste money on over-priced and useless products.

I agree that this is nothing radical nor is unhealthy. Just a well thought out few minutes on why trickle down economics hasn't worked, will not work. In fact there is no argument, trickle down economics is utter bullshit and has now become beyond dangerous for society on an international level.

How dare a member of the 1% club have an honest simple talk of why the extremely rich are willingly complicit with the downfall of the American middle class?
