Oscilliscope Closing?

Sorry if this was discussed in greater detail in another thread already, but there is just far too much thoroughfare and ongoing threads right now that I dont have the time to comb through. It was mentioned briefly in another thread I believe.

Anywho, as many of you probably read in Rolling Stone, Perry Farrell stated that Yauch had informed him that the bboys were giving up their studio. Are there any more details surrounding this floating about? It was clearly a decision made before Yauch had passed. Does anyone know anything regarding such?

we were just discussing one of Yauch's last public announcements about the company and some changes they were making among staff. Fenkel might have been better suited in a different role if Yauch was you know....... so I don't it's going to close, he had the right people lined up to carry on with the business. They are pretty active on their facebook and twitter with promoting the latest releases too.

The studio portion though is being sold.

i think McDuff is probably asking about the physical location. although no one knows, it seems imminent that the Film arm of Oscilloscope will move offices eventually. pure conjecture, my theory is.

O-Scope was Adam's baby. If they are selling the mixing board and no longer operating the studio, I see no need to lease that giant space for a film distribution company. time will certainly tell.
