Is there a Beastie Boy Behind the Music?

I tried doing a search but didn't find anything so I wasn't sure if there had ever been one. Would love to watch some kind of documentary on the boys if anyone has any suggestions. Any recommendations on any biographies as well?

I've been consumed with them ever since the news and need to get all the information I can.

No, the closest thing is the "Beastieography" that MTV showed in 1998 that showcased their history up to that point. I've found a few parts of it on YouTube.

Beastieography was great but obviously incomplete.

I know someone will make a full definitive doc at some point (like Rapaport did with Tribe). Hopefully sooner rather than later

VH1 did a 30min BEFORE THEY WERE ROCK STARS a few years back. Nice companion piece with the BEASTIEOGRAPHY.

I hope one day they do a special on Adam Yauch, like on bio and include rare interviews and footage from his adventures in Tibet. They would have to. I know he had no scandal in his life compared to the whack job celebrities that have died but he was pretty special and from everything I've seen, a lot of people (even other celebrities and reporters) seem really affected by his death. I hope they push for something on him.
