if youre anything like me, nothing is quite as comforting in these sad and dark times than seeing the three guys just genuinely enjoying hanging out and being together...which is why I've been listening to the re-release commentaries and watching interviews on youtube for hours on end everyday since we got the news a few weeks ago...

i've noticed that there is a huge amount of new interviews and even behind the scene videos popping up on youtube that had never been there. obviously the Dave Chappelle performance but a lot of other gems too, including a lot of MTV appearances and shit and even a behind the scenes Ricky Powell video of the guys discussing a setlist before a show(thanks Porky1982 for posting!)...

anyway i wanted to start this thread as a location for us to post new videos like this that are surfacing. i'll start it off with this interview from 98 with MMM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs0UWwegk0I

much love,
CB

Dude.................that's me that's posting 'em!

I've had them ALL up on YouTube for ages....................but YouTube terminated my account last Friday. So I've spent the weekend creating new channels and re-uploading everything I had on my old one.

I spread them out over several channels this time in case I get hit again.

http://www.youtube.com/user/BlinkyGhost723
http://www.youtube.com/user/InkyGhost723
http://www.youtube.com/user/SueGhost723
http://www.youtube.com/user/PacManCherries723

The videos aren't mine. They're mostly Ben's! "Porkys1982"!

This is his YouTube channel: the http://www.youtube.com/user/Porkys1982
This is his Vimeo page: http://vimeo.com/porkys1982
He has over 40 hours of Beastie TV interviews and performances for your viewing pleasure.

Ben hasn't uploaded most of his stuff onto YouTube. Me (Sarah) and my mate nutri are doing them; bit by bit.
http://www.youtube.com/user/nutri8712 (http://www.youtube.com/user/nutri871)
http://www.youtube.com/user/nutri871

Anyway; glad you're enjoying them. There's nothing I find more comforting than watching the three of them talk utter nonsense and completely befuddling an hapless interviewer!

I can tell you it was a blow last week when my account got hit. I got SO many beautiful comments on May the 4th...................and they're all lost now..............

...............plus I had all these messages in my YouTube inbox from people who wanted to contribute to my PWR2BEASTIES project for Adam and Mike.............and now I have no way of contacting them...........

.........what really pisses me off is YouTube shut me down without warning. They're supposed to give you a copyright notice first.

That's their policy.

They didn't.

:(

I would never rip the Beasties off. Wouldn't dream of it.

I haven't got anything on there I consider to be an issue. Old interviews, live stuff, etc.

Quite frankly, if FOX doesn't want me to upload the Beavis & Butt-head Beasties vids; FOX can suck it.

We need to see this stuff. We need to be able to have a laugh. Now more than ever.

If they shut me down; I'll rebuild again under a different username! Fight for my right to watch nostalgic crap on YouTube.................

THANKS for the shout-out.
xoxo

Man, that was an exciting time. I remember watching that Kurt Loder piece live the first time it aired. I jumped on the MMM bandwagon immediately, but if you listen, some of those first shows with him were much rougher than the shows they were doing 8 years later. It took them a while to get completely in the flow. It was cool stuff though. I'm glad they took off together. MMM doesn't get enough credit for pushing the bboys to another level, imo.

If you look closely at your employment contract you should find a clause which states you are allowed to take at least one week's bereavement leave when your favourite rapper dies.

seriously, this is awesome. THANK YOU Ms. PacMan for posting these. one of the links led me to some insane footage of the LTI tour -- oh my god. it's fascinating to watch that in contrast to the congressional hearings at the time regulating explicit lyrics. the B-boys were pretty badass back in the dayee.

Man, that was an exciting time. I remember watching that Kurt Loder piece live the first time it aired. I jumped on the MMM bandwagon immediately.......

..........you are SO right.

So much has happened since then.................it's nice to think back to the release of that album.........that whole era................................
..............................it was such a happy time.................

................I remember going into a frenzy every time that Body Movin' video came on (it was always around 5:30pm on the local music channel's "most requested" countdown; for WEEKS! I would look forward to it all day at school!)

It was an incredible time to be a B Boys fan. I didn't have MTV so I didn't see Kurt Loder's piece when it aired; but I remember that whole period of time so distinctly. I was frantically excited about MMM joining the family.

I had a big crush on him. I don't mind saying.

....................OK...............OK........... .......I still do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who doesn't?!!!!!

Been using my lunch hour to upload more stuff as well recently.

I've got now 7 DVD's worth, plus a hard drive with a metric shit-ton of stuff mca64 mailed me a while back. I've been trying to upload stuff I can't already find on YouTube, or If my copy is cleaner.. I'll continue to upload.

Sucks your channel got killed, I get the warnings "Content owned by ___." "Ads may appear on your videos".. But never a takedown.. So if you see an ad, you know I got warned.

Anyway, my Beastie Boys uploads so far are here:

I had a different excerpt from the same interview on my old channel and YouTube said that it was the reason I got shut down!

.........even though it had no warnings (or even ads) on it!!!!!!

So I didn't put it on my new YouTube channel in case they hit me again; but I put it on Vimeo instead because it's SO CUTE!

I adore that interview. They are all in top form.............

PS. I am loving your uploads..............thankyou so much for all your work. As always! Luv ya!

So grateful to MsPacMan and everyone who is collating, uploading and linking to stuff... this forum has been a source of brilliant Beastie fun and happy memories! I still keep waking up thinking about MCA and then I come here and feel happy that we had him for so long. Thanks for your good work, guys! (y)

Well thankyou for that gorgeous post; but I feel I should give props to Ben Escobedo; who put the originals together.

His vids are in two-hour blocks and I'm just slicing 'em up! I kinda feel like he's done more than his fair share; y'know?
So editing them and uploading them is the least I can do to help out. But I want to ensure Ben gets his fair share of the credit!

This is his YouTube channel: the http://www.youtube.com/user/Porkys1982

The amount of work he's put into it is incredible. He is a DEDICATED fan. Top drawer.

I really love Ben. He is such a top bloke.

..........we WERE lucky to have had him for 47 years...............

We mustn't forget that. Thankyou for reminding us!

All my love;

Nice find. Love all the videos that are surfacing. Especially since there is not a lot of live bootleg footage from the LTI days.
