the totality of the positive vibes he spread? Did he know his increible reach into peoples lives and how much better he made the world? Did he know?

People spend their lives trying to help people and Yauch did it powerfully and casually.

how amazing.

I dont think he thought about it, actually. He was too cool to think about himself.

i would say he hoped and maybe had some idea of it but i'm not sure anyone could really imagine how today would feel without being here

I think he knew a little. I know in one interview he said he was always surprised and very moved to hear when folks would tell him that his lyrics inspired them. I don’t think he realized how big of an impact though. If he knew that monks all over the world were chanting for him he’d be absolutely blown away.

Yeah, he was so modest. I think he hoped but probably didn't allow himself to think much more past that. Which makes him that much more awesome.

My thoughts exactly...if he didn't know while he was here, he's definitely feeling it now....

And where ever he is, he is smiling.

I think he was cognizant by way of his thoughts and actions. Putting goodness and greatness out into the world, but with profound humility. We all continue to carry the torch, so to speak, and he certainly felt the reverberation on earth and continues to feels it.

I agree with the modesty statement, idt he wanted to ever be cocky. That being said, I think he liked that he influenced many but kept being and true to himself for himself. He loved his fans though (:

and wherever he is, I'm sure he can see the overwhelming love.

God damn, I miss you so much Yauch. :'(

i hope so. and he probably was way far beyond 'needing' to know.

he knew what he was doing and was humble about it.

Reporter: "What is the one thing the fans love about you the most?"

Yauch: "Hygiene."
