Just how many of the classic Beastie videos do you think have film elements that could be converted to HD? Yauch definitley took himself seriously as a director so I'm just wondering how many of those classic videos were actually shot on 16 or 35 mm film.

Would be nice if we could see them restored to HD and than released on a bluray. Cold also import the commentary tracks from the Criterion DVD set as well.

I would love to see this happen! A Blu-ray anthology of their videos. (y)

They should definitely get Criterion to do it again. I don't really trust just Capitol to do a good release. Regardless, these videos need to preserved for the next generation. They could also put miscellaneous other junk on there like the Hello Nasty infomercial I think.

I would love to see the original Root Down video with the old school Knicks/Clyde Frazier footage (HD or not).

I have been looking for this for years but haven't come close to finding it. I remember I saw it on BET when it 1st came out, put it was quickly pulled due to NBA copyrights.

Maybe Porkys1982 has it?

It must be somewhere to be seen......

Anybody at all know about this? This is like the Holy Grail of Beastie content for me...

You could probably torrent a lot of it that people converted into HD. They do that with like every single TV show series torrent, I torrented season 1-4 of Breaking Bad it was all in HD.

Theres also HD converting programs you can get for your computer.

Id love to see them all in HD

Huh... You can't take a low quality vid and magically make it HD.. It only works the other way around, HD to Low Quality.

I got this a couple months ago but it's not complete, and I believe MTV mixed two shows together, Not full 1080p, 720 but looks great.

I'd upload it, but Viacom got all up in my shit for a video I uploaded 2 years ago and had 73,000 views. (Beastie Boys YO! MTV Raps Nov. 18th 1989) Now I'm on restriction.

What I meant by this was taking the original film elements that were used to create the music videos and then using them to recreate the videos in HD. Sort of like what has happened with Seinfeld and Star Trek I think.
