Since getting rid of cable and sat - we thought it cost too much & most of the content was garbage anyway - we've been watching those two OTA (over the air) channels for nearly a year.* Both are a lot of fun! You'd think watching shows 20 or 30+ years old wouldn't be, but then you realize except for the clothes and some slang words, you can still relate to most of the stories which is what is most important to me anyway. Though some of the 1950s shows can be pretty "stiff" and unrealistic (who wears a suit to a midweek family dinner?).
The "This" channel is also decent but sometimes they broadcast some really obscure stuff, but hey it's free like the above two channels so cannot complain too much.
* I do miss the History, Science and BBC (Dr. Who!) channels though

I watch the Me TV. I love old shows. It's nice to see how things have evolved- like, not showing a married couple in bed together or not being able to say "pregnant" on air (true story for I Love Lucy). I tried to watch the Rhoda/Mary Tyler Moore reunion mo ie but it just wasn't working for me. I don't think you're missing too much on BBC America. Every time I look what's on its either Star Trek or James Bond or a nature show.

TOP GEAR IS ON BBC AMERICA!I do watch this sometimes, but I'm not that interested in all those supercars they review so much (of course they drive great - they usually cost from $70K to more than $150,000!! "Cheap" cars are more interesting to me since it takes more clever engineering to get them to perform well).

that show isn't really about the cars.
it's about three friends fucking around and having a laugh.

O.K. to give it a second chance I've been watching Top Gear more often at a buddy's house (last night they had a 6 show marathon) and noticed they DO test out quite a few affordable cars. And I gotta admit, over there they seem to have a lot more cool cars, at all prices, than we do. :( Even the cars built by American brands are generally better than the stuff they sell here!
Well Twilight Zone just came on, so gotta go.....

Antenna TV is programmed into my favorites.
I watch it every night I get home... and I mean religiously!
My favorite show is the George Burns and Gracie Allen show and I absolutely love it and all classic television. ;)
