Isn't it ironic that the man with the most unrhymable name of all became the -- in (almost) the words of Samuel L. Jackson -- rhyme fucking master?
Just a random thought I had this morning.

Wtf is this about?

I'll try again:
"Yauch" doesn't rhyme with any word I can think of. Hence, I enjoyed the thought that Adam Yauch of all people became a master of rhymes.
I do admit though, I'm easily entertained.

Jesus, really? I'm not quite sure why this is so difficult to understand, but I'll have one more go.
"Yauch" doesn't rhyme with anything, which is quite rare. But precisely this person with the unrhymable name had rhymes as one of the most important things in his life.
I liked that thought.
Any clearer now? I'm feeling silly harping on about something so trivial, like I say, just a random thought. But I do find it a little disconcerting that nobody seems to get what I was talking about. :o

I get it as well. It is ironic, and I think that Adam thought of it. Surely had it in mind, when he said "born and bread Brooklyn USA, they call me Adam Yauch, but I am MCA".
Surely.

Aye, all right.
To be a pedant, though, neither of these _actually_ rhyme. What with /k/ being a velar sound and /t/ an alveolar one ;)

points for being the first person ever to use "alveolar" on the message board.

O! Get it now. You changed the word in a rhyme to make someone look crazy to be a comedian. Ha He.

Hey, why don't I just go eat some hay,
make things out of clay,
lay by the bay?
I just may!
What'd ya say?

I shall not be rude and ask wtf does Happy Gilmore have to do with this but i see the correlation here; We are all playing with sounds :)
It has nothing at all to do with idea that some may think it is telling some to "fuck off" and everything to do with the fact that sandler was only playing with words there and they really have NO meaning At all :)

I always think of the song "Girls" during this part of the movie because of the multiple "-ay" rhymes. I know a little off topic, just trying to get it back to the Boys...;)

Not quite. Just a linguist.
Maybe one day I'll write a paper about Beasties lyrics :)

Ah, I see. I'm pretty sure that was the first time I've ever heard any non-SLP use the word "alveolar."
I'm an SLP and frequently use those terms when writing evaluation reports, etc., at work...but it threw me a little to see them used here on the BBMB! They don't come up too often in regular conversation, that's for sure! :)
