When I first got Hot Sauce Committee I loved the album on the first listen but I didn't really think much of Tadlock's Glasses. It just seemed like a filler track to me, almost like an extended skit. Fast forward a year and I love this damn track, it's climbed to the top of my favorites for this album and is near tied for first place with Here's a Little Something for Ya. It's just so damn cool. What songs have gone from bad to good or good to bad in your eyes?

Good post.

Song for the man. Bad to good

Long burn the fire. Bad to good

Say it. Bad to good.

Remote control. Bad to good

Always loved tadlocks glasses. It's like hypnotic hip hop.

I won't dare say "bad to good" but nonstop disco powerpack was the "grower" for me. I dug it from the beginning and I know a lot of people loved it, but it has really grown on me. Love the extended solo verses.

I could really see them ripping this live. :(

They have so much material. Some stuff isn't immediately gratifying,

But it usually grows on ya

Maaan could imagine that song live. That would be the best thing EVER.

Everything on the new album is good to me. But for some reason "Dont Play No Games" never grew on me. I cant get into that song. I think its because the vocals arent loud enough or are hard to understand or something im not too sure.

I imagine it would be like the way they freestyled. On soultrain with

Shadrach. I imagine there would be a similar old skool approach.

I'm with you on that. I really don't like that track at all. That said, if I'm bbq'ing and I've got a lil buzz and it comes on, I'm gonna shake my ass to it. (y)

It was my favorite from the beginning.

Glad to see that it grew on some of you...

This track is full of fucking greatness.

The music. Who does that? I mean who does that and can make that sound so good?

The lyrics? I can't put into words, but for such a short song each Beastie just kills it. They didn't need a whole lot to make this little masterpiece shine. It's because they are that good and that talented.

Most of Paul's Boutique has really grown on me, it's now my favorite album. I liked it when it came out but I don't think I really appreciated it like I do now.

Exact same feeling on Tadlock's. I think MCA's verse, although short, is nothing short of a perfect flow.
