Nice.
Make an account on a band's website message board who's member just died to capitalize on you selling their products.
This thread just feels so wrong to me. (n)

That's a little harsh, people have been posting trades, and stuff for sale here for a long time.. Anyone who's selling show vinyls and limited editions is probably more than just a passing fan looking to make a quick buck off a bad situation.
People who collect sell prized items for various reasons, bills, food, and to buy more of what they collect. In this case Beastie Boys stuff maybe. Other people get burned out by the hunt, they have it all, now time to move on to something else, sell the old collection.
The show vinyls are priced really low, and I'd buy them both if I had the spare cash, and if I did, and one day I really needed the money, I'd sell them too, I'd be sad, but you have to do what you have to do sometimes. If hornblower77 wants to cut me an amazing package deal, I'd jump.
As for account creation date. Could have been an old member from before and never re-registered, or just a lurker. I lurked here for years before creating an account. The lurker to member ratio here, I would bet is like 200 to 1.
I may have dug deeper into this than I intended, and maybe hornblower77 is a nasty opportunist trying to capitalize on Adam's death, but I really doubt it.

I'm not trying to capitalize off of anything and I'm still just as sad as anyone about the one they call Praying Mantis. Rather, I'm trying to raise cash for another Beastie purchase of a much rarer holy grail of beastie collectibles and unfortunately, it's not cheap at all. If I was trying to capitalize, I wouldn't list my items at the prices I am. I don't really feel the need to defend myself, but yes, I have been a lurker here for years and did have an account many moons ago that I couldnt remember for the life of me. I've been collecting for almost 20. If you are worried about my intentions, ask AstroBBoy for his opinion of me.

Please don't ask Astro about his opinion of me. Beastiemania and Beastiemixes have been in a nasty legal battle for years. Seems they don't like the fact that my website has "beastie" in the name too. They sued, I counter sued, it's really been a nasty situation. My lawyer (http://www.bettercallsaul.com) thinks I'll eventually win, but it's going to be a long battle. In the end, if I win, they'll have to change their name to nonhumananimalmania.com. :)
Wish me luck!!!

+1 vouching for Hornblower77
I understand how the original posts could be construed but I've had plenty of chat with Hornblower77 and he's a genuine fan, collector and nice guy.
Another reason we could use a collectors section here

I assume he's raising money to buy the action figures.
