I liked the source piece, it was solid. There wasn't much new there though. Seemed to be aimed more at educating younger readers about them (which I like). It was interesting that Rush was getting regular invitations to play soft ball with the BBoys, but he never made it over. Rush expressed much understandable regret over this. That and the cover itself were the most memorable parts of it for me.

I paid cover price for the recent Source issue and was disappointed with it. I recognize that it is far easier to to sit back and criticize the works of other writers/authors rather than to actually sit down and write something with substance. That having been said - I fail to understand why Beastie Boys biographers/writers continue to make the same mistakes when it comes to dates and names.

I read it in the store, didn't purchase (that may have affected my generally positive opinion of it)
What mistakes did you see in dates and names?

All the Source issues look kinda cheap nowadays, not all glossy like it used to be. I though the pic they chose for the cover was pretty good (I think Sunny Bak's pic she took)
