I was bitching about my car speakers being blown yesterday, again (while I as trying to enjoy the the bass nuances of 'Have Mercey on Me' from the 'Chulahoma EP :))
My wife said to me "Well you are the one who blew the speakers out."
and I replied "No I most certianly did not...(momentary pause) ..Adam Yauch did."
'Panda Rat' caught me off guard one day last year lol. ever since its been rattle rattle
first thing I did when I got home was put the Mix Up in, roll something up, and settled into that ill groove. With the Bass turned All The Way UP

Sounds like a good way to spend an evening to me.

I blew my bass out on the car stereo while listening to The Maestro. The rest of the stereo works, Just don't get that great bass that I should have. I am told that I have only really heard HSC through deaf ears because of this.

I swear if I ever die from a heart attack, that will be the cause! I think I do that every time I get into the car

Great album. Junior Kimbrough original stuff is awesome too.

Ya on a car stereo note. I have replace many speakers due to bass ruining. Like the center one in a Mitsubishi eclipse that just wasnt made to hold bass, like most smaller speakers. So when you replace them you put a tiny transistor (usually just called a bass blocker) in the positive line which just cuts off the sound at a certain frequency. They are really cheap (as in like a buck or 2) but a stereo place wont necessarily tell you or install them. But ya I would recommend them if you dont want your treble speakers blown out by boomin' intergalactic. :)
