Seriously? No one started a thread on this?

I thought it was pretty good, but definitely not better than The Dark Knight though.

I thought it was great to see the city start to crumble. It most movies, the hero usually saves the day before scenes of destruction. I thought it started well and everything through Bruce escaping the prison was well done. It ended well too. There was just something about the time between bruce's return and the ending that left something to be desired. It's almost as if nolan put Gotham and batman in such a hole, there was no way the path to save Gotham would be as great/epic as the path to destruction.

Without spoiling anything, the end is a better end to the trilogy as a whole than just this one movie.

Worth seeing, you will leave the theater feeling blown away visually, but upon further thought you may find holes in the plot that will bother you.

i gave it a 7

couldnt understand bane or batman

bane is basically darth vader

i didnt feel there was anything i hadn't seen before, avengers was much more innovative.

i really like everyone in the movie, just didnt think it was up to the hype.

would i watch it knowing this? yes. good entertainment.

7 out of 10 sounds about right. I didn't have a big grin on my face walking out of the theater like I did when I saw The Avengers.

Excellent trilogy tho. Time to reboot again...

In Order:

The Dark Knight
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight Rises

Didn't know why Bane had to sound like Max Von Sydow. Really bothered me.

IMHO Michellle Rodriguez would have made a better catwoman than Anne H was too nice not sexy enough wheres the depravity in the sex no depravity

Matt Modine was a distraction boring as hell
Marion Cotillard was boring as hell limited acting range one expression the whole movie

Other than that solid flick. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was very cool.

Did anyone else notice Morgan Freeman's fake rubber left hand? He mangled his hand in a car crash a while back and normally has a black glove on in public while the tendons are healing.

It was really obvious.

He stole the movie for me!

I also would have liked to have seen more scenes with Alfred. Really, what the hell, he says in batman begins, he will never give up on Bruce but then he kinda does.

Just watched it, was obvious from the very get go who that young cop was going to be. Couldn't understand Bane, and I can't get used to the batman voice either. Last 5 minutes were great though, if only to be really smug and say "I told you so"

All the policemen in Gotham are obviously incapable of growing facial hair.

I had the option of seeing this or seeing Ted. I went and saw Ted, and was glad.

The second film didn't do much for me, and I'm fairly indifferent to seeing this third one.

Probably watch it eventually.

Good times.

I've been to see it twice. It's fucking great. The second one is better but it's a worthy finalé.

I really liked it, definitely a strong finish. It seemed less developed at times than the other two but definitely good. My order from favorite to least is the same as their release order.

Oh yeah, what did you think? I'm glad films that "make you work" like that and this one and The Artist are getting a little shine rather than pure CGI balance sheet blockbusters. Hopefully it's the start of an upward trend in movie IQ.

Paddy, I fucking loved every minute. Even the shit Hollywood ones. Spent the next month or so digesting it. Really good film.

Nice. Feel free to pop a lil review in my Prometheus thread so we can compare opinions and shit.

Also, how's Ted? Keen to see that next.

It's alright. More of the same shit. It's all the same shit.

We all blazed one before Prometheus and lost our shit at the preview for the Total Recall remake.

And then the preview for the Bourne sequel with no Matt Damon which makes a point of explaining why Matt Damon isn't in it.

Fucking average shit is par for the course. Even the dumb Hollywood shit in Prometheus was to be expected. The blow was lessened by those previews.

Ultimately, you have to blame the audience. The general public has so much fuckery to answer for.

tl;dr Ted was aight. Nothing special.
