Can Somebody Verify the Date ( Sept. 1 , 1989 ).
I did some research , and I am almost sure that
is the correct date of the interview.

Thanks , Ben ( Porkys1982 )

This is great to see. Thanks!
Man, just them talking is like a BBoys song here. References to The Ballad of John & Yoko, Beethoven's 5th, lederhosen, Picasso, Tom Hanks, Levar Burton (Roots, Star Trek), horseback riding (Yauch saying that is kinda wild in retrospect), dissing Russell Simmons (and his penis), Madonna, the ozone, the millenium, Cadillac convertible (great Ad Rock quote there!), "and when we get into the 90s I don't think we're going to be seeing as much of Winger and Bon Jovi on television" (yeah Yauch!), Dave Scilken, Sean Carasov, New York sold for $40 as a lesson for everyone, L.A.'s New Wave, the answers to 'do you think you'd produce somebody' are intriguing: "Slack and Relax", "Sticks and Stones", "Revvie (sp?) and Futura" "Holmes and Watson" and "Blues Traveler"(?!?), and "YAHTZEE!"
Man, thanks for digging this up!!
Safe to say this is the only known instance where they talk about 'Paul' himself? And 'Janice'?

Yeah, could be huh? First mention I can think of otherwise is the introduction of the 'So What'Cha Want' video on MTV.

I thought that too- sounded like they were adlibbing as they went along on that. I wonder if mike really dated Janice ;)

"You all heard that record, A Fifth of Beethoven, that was no joke."

Thanks for the laughs. I love all the tangents. Dropping in references to The Moody Blues, Canned Heat in explaining the progression of their sound. Ha! They were king bullshitters, weren't they?

Such masterful use of nonsense. Like, an awe-inspiring grasp of the absurd. So good. Also, first time I've really heard the transition from MCA's speaking voice to his rhyming voice - albeit briefly.

Do I understand right that this is from some French TV? I wonder how much stuff can be found from other countries TV's vaults?

Wow....that's just incredible. That interviewer dude had no clue what was going on.

KP hit perfectly. The perfection of silliness.
