"In ancient days, men looked at stars and saw their heroes in the constellations. In modern times, we do much the same, but our heroes are epic men Of flesh and blood."

When I first read the headline yesterday, I actually did confuse him with the other Armstrong briefly (probably because of all the headlines he has been making lately) and was shocked.

At least you weren't the person at NBC that reported Neil Young died.

Wow.
Some of our presidents have had to make similar speeches since that time, sadly.

This doesn't bode well for Green Day.

Rare blue moon tonight, on the day Armstrong is buried. Pretty incredible coincidence.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to trek up to the Cascade foothills tonight now that you posted this info. Very cool.
One of the best comments I either read or overheard on Neils' passing went something like this...
We didn't have reality TV when I was a kid...we had the Apollo space program.
Neil Armstrong did an incredible thing while never confusing who he was with what he had done. There is a powerful lesson here for all of us.

Don't look for the moon to really be blue though. It's called that because it's the 2nd full moon this month, which is rare. Thus the phrase "once in a blue moon."
