doing a show today on long island......

Ive been working with a radio station on an old school hip hop show for the best 6 weeks. the line up is an impressive one (biz markie, jungle brothers, epmd, etc) and I was trying to arrange a tribute for MCA via the Biz Markie in hopes that Mike and Adrock would/could attend but it never made it to its final stages. Would anyone like for me to ask the artists performing anything in regard to Adam?

believe it or not, nice n smooth showed up a show i did at the same venue a couple of months ago. i was backstage with them, smoking....you know what. i felt honored to have shared a smoke with them.

im going to film most of the show so I hope they all do something for MCA. I totally forgot that EPMD was on tour with the beasties way back when.

the concert was excellent. I got to hang out with the biz for a half hour in his dressing room. when i first saw him getting out of his car, i was a little hesitant about approaching him but he he came over and gave me a great big bear hug so I knew right away that he wasnt pissed (at me) anymore. we spoke for a while about the passing of MCA and as I was talking to him, i began to cry. it looked like he was tearing a bit as well. he is still devastated and he said adam was a great old friend of his as well as the boys. he got up on stage and in between shows, he paused for Adam. I have it on video and need to upload it later.

he also told me he dj's for president obama and obama has been to his house. I couldnt believe I was in the presence of hip hop royalty!

nice and smooth went on for over 45 minutes and killed any chance for epmd to put on thier great show since production went into overtime and they cut thier mics. many fans were really upset.

the funniest part of the night is when i met kieth murray and asked if he had cable installed recently. he said he did and i told him the person who installed was my supervisor and he laughed, he was a really nice guy as well.

A couple of years ago, i was doing a show at msg with him and i came here to ask if anyone had any questions to ask him. I approached him in his dressing room and we began the interview then we were interrupted then he asked me to come back later. i came back and he was still preoccupied and had asked me to come back a little later. when i had come back a third time, he seemed very angry, it seemed at me (i take things personal!) so I felt he was mad at me for bothering him but he told me it had nothing to do with me, which was a huge sigh of relief. I only wanted to talk to him about Adam, not to disrespect him. he saw how sincere i was.

I was speaking with him for about a half hour. I didnt know what to say but my main focus was about Adam. as we spoke, it seemed like his "clown voice" disappeared as we spoke about politics briefly.

dam, would have been great to meet you there. the show was great but there could have been a few changes that we could have made to make it a smoother show. I wish the plans for an MCA tribute would have been finalized. All I kept envisioning was a huge background poster of Adams face throughout the show.
