Ahhh, SE, the company that brought us the infamous PK Ripper, with it's square and rectangle tubing. Oh how I wanted one. Ended up with a Redline instead.

Why a 29" instead of a 24" cruiser?

so the 29 is what I love, and I found out by mistake. I had my old Mountain Goat, now in museum in North Carolina. The owner of the Museum asked if I would trade. He offered a Treck Marlin SS with 29 inch wheels. Bottom line .. its faster, smother and easier to climb the mountain.
struggling on the 20 inch wells to keep up with me, so I got here the 24 inch. She does climb the hill easier with the larger wheels ....l you know physics/geometry ... She is 9. She loves the 24 inch and so do I. We take turns on it. No doubt, I love the 29 inch more though and when I looked at the teeth ratio and size I wanted for a single speed, just by chance the Big Ripper was the one. Ive been thinking about it for a year now and the 2012 just got marked down to $399. The new 2013 is a great color and looks better to me and is now $599.

Anyway, I did not know this till after I got the Big Ripper and that is it was designed for Big on Rob and Big. Never saw the show but there is an episode where SE makes it just for Big. I don't think that makes it any cooler though.

Finally, as a kid I dreamed of the PK Ripper and got the Redline myself.
