I did not watch any of the debates this year so I should not try to make any recommendations, but I had an idea.

I think the moderator should have a fog horn and whenever people, and I mean the president and/or the people running for president, don't shut up when they are supposed to the moderator just blows that fucking horn until they shut up. That would be cool to see.

I am pretty sure this would actually help moderate. The idea came to me after a trip to the dollar store and I gave each of my kids $2 and told them they can pick out any 2 items and Ava got a fog horn. The fog horn is one of the best toys she has ever purchased. It is great fun.

Or perhaps highlight optional parties, just like the NBA draft those political parties with the least votes or worst scorecard get prominent positioning on stage and begin the conversation.

A minimum of 4 political parties and a max of 6. These cardboard cutouts that spend billions of dollars are limiting the national discourse. Open the debates up, quit coddling corporate branded politicians. As wacked as Roseanne Barr is she would of been a great diversion from robotic speaking points. Forcing the major party candidates to wing it.

Each candidate should also be able to have a question off the cuff, unrehearsed for the other candidates involved.
