OK. I'm gonna lay a confession on ya. You guys are practically family so it’s probably time you were aware……..

……….check it out:

I AM HOPELESSLY IN LOVE WITH ADAM RICHMAN.

YES, the Man V Food guy.

YOU know……that travel show where he goes to a restaurant and they serve him a burger the size of, I dunno, BRAZIL, and they say “eat this entire monstrosity in 45 minutes and we'll give you a free t-shirt!” and HE DOES eat it!!!......……he eats it ALL…….right there in front of you.........and upon reflection you think: “WHY am I sitting here watching a man gorge on a 6-pound burger topped with mac-&-cheese when the sun is shining outside and I have better things to do with my life?..…......OMG, WHERE DID IT ALL GO WRONG???!!!”

But…….try as you might YOU CAN’T LOOK AWAY……because watching him devour that burger LIKE A BOSS is inexplicably and hypnotically fascinating and ……well…….very…..very….VERY……alluring. (Or is it just me?)

http://www.travelchannel.com/tv-shows/man-v-food

Mmmmm, MMMMMMMMM. Delicious.

So maybe I should tell you about him?

His name is Adam.
He’s smart.
And sexy.
And hilarious.
He’s Jewish.
He’s from Brooklyn.

(Remind you of…………?)

OH YEAH……....…silly me.........…..did I mention?

HE’S A BEASTIE BOYS FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (y) Squee!

…….guest DJing on KCRW: http://www.prx.org/pieces/69786-guest-dj-project-adam-richman (you have to create a free login to hear the full thing, but I transcribed the Beastie part for y’all).

“So the first track is the first Beastie Boys track I heard, which is Rhymin’ and Stealin’ off of “Licensed To Ill”. I think for me, growing up in Brooklyn, hip hop was an inexorable part of my youth, and of the culture I grew up in…….especially cuz my folks got divorced and my mom and I moved to the Starrett City projects, which was a largely African-American development - so hip hop was pretty ubiquitous, and uh……to all of a sudden to see a group where two of the guys were named Adam; they were all Jewish; one went to my rival high school (MCA, who happens to be my favourite Beastie Boy)…….and, um, I remember my mom and I had gone away (I went to a religious Jewish school) and there was like a retreat at this Catskill hotel…..and I remember I had snuck my walkman to bed……..I had just bought “Licensed To Ill”, and I put my headphones on and my mom was like “you’re not listening to music now – it’s too late!”…….and of course I went under the blankets and stuff. And my babysitter and my cousin had listened to Led Zeppelin and I pressed play and I recognized this riff instantly as When The Levee Breaks, and then suddenly voices that were not terribly unlike mine and experiences not terribly unlike my own were, like, being spit out there. But I knew when I was under the covers, you know, sneaking this music away and feeling like it was something naughty and wonderful, I knew that it was something special and something unlike I had ever heard. It felt like the BEGINNING OF A MOVEMENT…….and not just “ooh, I’ve locked into some great music”........and so, yeah!……..and I guess, to some degree, I think, being that I am “Brooklyn kid made good”, and “a Jewish kid named Adam”, I don’t know……..I think that perennially I find myself rhymin’ and stealin’……..like through every season of Man V. Food!!” (June, 2011)

…………be still my aching loins…………

Jesus! If you didn't bother reading it, why take the time to log in and post your crappy remarks? Maybe some of us enjoyed it. Pretty sure
it was meant to lighten the mood a bit. Relax, look the other way, or just shut up.

Go ahead- I'm all ready for your verbal abuse and "fuck the newbie"rants

You and I have poked fun at each other and I can't see much of a difference here. I personally thought both posts were funny. In terms of relaxing, looking the other way, or just shutting up, I find it ironic that you chose to do none of the above.

@BFL & Micodin

If I thought for one second he was just kidding around I would not have said a word. Pshabi is usually not joking and can be pretty mean. It was the he didnt even bother reading it that got me. Some people do get a bit intimidated to post here because of him. Some people have a lot of really good stuff to contribute. Trust me the last thing I wanted to do is say anything to leave myself open to get crap for it too. It was just nice to see mspacman back after so long.

OMG! OMG! OMG! For realz? I love Adam, Beastie Boys & food. Sure, I had gastro bypass a few years ago, but that doesn't keep me away from the Mickey D's or Taco Bellz y'all ;)!

We should start a Facebook page about Adam liking the Beastie Boys. We'll co-admin of course. Anyone else want in?

This is a lot more fun than twitter but I always have my funky boss looking over my shoulder. I need an app for this...or an app that repels a funky boss..

Who are you really? This is so obvious that you are using an alias. Don't you want credit for your comical genius ?
