if there is anything good to come from hurricane sandy is that it seems the climate change disagreements are . these storms are "the new normal"...

nyc mayor bloomberg (r/ind) : http://goo.gl/Ri8PR

i can't believe there are still people out there who think we can live the way we do without consequences. i know people who laugh(ed?) at conservation, recycling, and alternative energy.

i hope that this will serve to push all the doubters to face the truth - its time.

Sadly you are so right. Year after year it gets worse. It's happening much quicker than even the experts have predicted.

We moved to Pa a few years ago, this being one of the larger states I am still absolutely shocked that they do not require recycling. Our township finally found a few dollars in the budget to start a voluntary recycling program. Well last month, needing to save a few dollars, they discontinued it. We continue to pile it up but have no where to take it.

Throwing just one light bulb (cfl) in the trash contaminates like 6,000 gallons of water. I think a single camera battery can contaminate like 18
acres of land. People need more education and government needs to find the money to help us do the right thing.
