I just saw it and it's fucking brilliant.
The script, acting and direction were all top-notch. As a Bond fan, I couldn't have asked for better. So many British thespian heroes, including Ralph, Naomie, Judy, Ben Whishaw... the list goes on. And then there's Javier. I mean, wow. Best Bond villain since Goldfinger in my eyes- what a performance.
I love how they brought it back to London for the majority of the film; being a sometime Londoner myself it was great to see one of my lifelong idols just doing normal shit in the places I do normal shit... although admittedly his normal shit's probably more intense than mine.
The homages to old Bond were perfectly judged, and clearly the result of a lot of love and passion from Craig & Mendes. There's a bit at the start of the 3rd act involving a car which I'm pretty sure will have any Bond fan giving a wry smile.
Speaking of Old Bond, the old dog/new tricks motif which ran throughout the film was expertly done. So many nuances: a Tennyson poem, the initial meeting with Q, and the ending were each filled with symbolism and allegory, and poignant as fuck.
The film drew heavily on recent cult franchises, and I felt the influence of Nolan's Batmans and the Harry Potter saga in particular on multiple occasions.
I can't wait to see this again, and can't wait even more for the next one to come out. Craig has cemented himself as the best Bond since Sean Connery in my eyes.
9/10
