If you're unfamiliar with what this is, Zane Lowe from BBC Radio 1 presents a series of shows in which classic albums are played in full. The rest of the show consists of interviews/stories/other things about the album.

This years list is as follows:

3rd December - Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf
4th December - Beastie Boys - Ill Communication
5th December - Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
6th December - Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole

I've emailed him a few times to try and get PB on Masterpieces but never really held out much hope of getting it on. I'll gladly settle for IC anyways:)

I'll bump this to remind anyone who is interested, IC on tomorrow. I have no idea how people outside of uk get this, i'm sure there are ways that you clever people know about.

They used to have it so that new and previously recorded material was able to be streamed from the Site. Can't check right now but I used to listen to the fabio and grooverider show every week from there.

I'm really feeling this elevated status that Ill Communication has received. It's starting to feel like somewhat of an apex creatively - not too 'goofy', not too snotty, not too preachy, just a perfect middle ground - and sounds more and more like lightning in a bottle since Yauch passed.

I missed bits of this and hadnt heard a Masterpieces programme before so wasnt quite sure what to expect. Hearing Wet Wet Wet was a bit of a shock but i liked the setting of the time and the tributes and interviews. And the countless warnings that the audience was about to hear some serious language!. What i enjoyed most was the thought of some young un tuning in and having to deal with Heart Attack Man. I hope it turns more people on to them and it was a nice tribute that dwelled on the album rather than anything else that happened this year.
It was definitely the right album to choose, it was their commercial and creative peak, people might give PB a shout but IC was completely beasties influenced where PB had other input.

Yeah I was thinking this when it was being aired - I'm sure the Beasties will have a new Army of new followers after last nights show, Ill Comms really perfectly showcases all of the BBoys genres & talents.. punk, rock, hip-hop, instrumentals etc.

Listened to it yesterday, was so happy to hear all the tracks and the interview from 2009 where they were goofing around and being totally crazy! Then when Zane was finishing the interview and thanking the guys calling those names (The No 1 Customer, Minister of Hot Sauce, and The KING of Lunch!) I realised I was never gonna hear them goofing around like that again and I started crying like in the month of May... :(

15 minutes into this and very confused as to why Bulls On Parade is being played in full.

Livin' On A Prayer released in 1994? Zane dude, that must've been a re-release. Surprised he didn't catch that. Also, he pronounced Yauch's name with a "CH" at the end. The fuck.
Bellyaching aside, this was a nice tribute to the album. Thanks for the SoundCloud link.
