It's evolution,baby...(y)

Heard that when I was waking up this a.m...It's gonna have huge impact on the B.C bud trade, pot culture and weed related tourist traffic enjoyed North of the border…millions upon millions of dollars is going shift to Washington states economy...B.C has to follow this lead...

What are some of the details?

Do you have to hold a permit?

How much can one hold for personal use?

What are the regulations behind motor vehicles/usage and transportation?

Can you grow uit?

How many plants?

Can you "gift" it?

Both states (Colorado & Washington) have asked the administration for guidance on how to proceed, given that majorities of voters in both states have ordered the legalization of pot. While the federal government cannot force a state to criminalize a substance nor can they compel a state to enforce federal law, both ballot measures attempt to set up marijuana growing and retail industries. Such industries — as well as the tax revenues they generate — are likely targets for federal enforcement action.

lawyers. politicians and activists involved in the legalization ballot see the utter silence from the Feds as a sign of the Feds backing away just as they have with the already proliferating medical marijuana business here in Washington State

It's still very blurry because it's only been a month since being overwhelmingly passed. These early stages will probably be fondly remembered because of the newness. Soon the Money will invade the scene and legitimize, brand, and popularize a new culture here in Washington State.

I see it as awesome, so many synthesized pharmaceutical drugs like xanax. ambien, and all of those hynotic drugs so popular today can cease fucking people up. There are some serious side effects with those OTC pills.

Plus this slows down the Mexican cartels who's business card of late has been chopping off body parts and mass graves. WTF? The tax revenue potential is fantastic, better than any idea anyone in our Country has come up with in decades.

Just heard you can only posess an ounce and you can't consume in public...the business of bureaucracy is at hand...not exactly what Peter Tosh had in mind...still really encouraging news none the less...I'd love to see Woody Harrelson and Ron Mann cover the next chapter of the story… (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0214730/)especially the impact on the criminal process and the effect on the related prison population...

Well, it's not like that.

I mean, sure you can only possess one ounce and it is illegal to smoke it in public.

There are mitigating factors at play though, you cannot drink alcohol in public either. And you can have an ounce of weed anywhere on you that you please, legally! You can legally smoke and carry weed, but for chrissakes have some decorum is all the law is stating.

I don't partake in weed but I know many who do and they aren't interested in Peter Tosh or expect some sort of political movement from legalizing weed. That's something that is subjective and sort of labeling regular people who get high as pro-weed stoner's always politically active.

My friends who get high are extremely productive people that don't want and do not have the time to get drunk, hungover and sick all day. Marijuana isn't a counterculture drug, it's reasonably safe and extremely inexpensive to produce.

The DEA and Law enforcement have always tried to make it something other than what it is.

People are reasonable for the most part here in Washington State, this is a nice alternative to two weeks ago.

This comic strip pretty much sums it up,

Ultimately I just want to hobby grow, that's what interests me most...indoor and out,it's a very beneficial outlet...I'd have my Paganini playing, mad organic science styles, along with other herbs,tomatoes,peppers...proceed most of the crop to medinicinal outlets...although regulations may make that more difficult than current practice...oh!...I'd also like to be a proponent of ingestion or vaporization as preferred methods of consumption...

I think smokeless marijuana is the way to go. Like a fresh cookie, brownies etc. Since you can't smoke it in public maybe some sort of George Foreman pocket grill that makes cookies, pocket cookies. To eat in line for the movies or concert.

The trick is unsaturated fats like butter or coconut oil for sautéing beforehand. In order to extract the THC this is a must and important. I may no longer partake in the weed, but when I did I completely immersed myself. :D I looked like that green smiley man all through my teens. Unfotunately the alcohol wiped that smile off my face in my 20's.

I go on a google expedition and I see that most edible products are marketed like rat poison. All of this underground hippy jargon and ugly ass photography. It's like surfing a Grateful Dead parking lot. Almost like an anti-drug advertisement.

This is a wide open market. I need to stop Starbucks from taking over the marijuana business, they would probably buy mass produced buds and burn them in their cook process. I have never had this big of an epiphany since the first day I went to AA and quit drugs and alcohol. I don't get high, but I understand high.

I envision extremely smart people getting together and operating out of a storefront not unlike Pauls Boutique (in attitude, appearance and essence), right here in Beautiful Seattle.

I'm of the belief that open consumption should be allowed within reason...somewhere along the lines legislated tobacco falls under...I'm also of the belief that if I want to have a picnic in the park there should be no penalty for enjoying a bottle of wine with my meal...all things within reason and personal responsibility...the law already has the tools to deal with the associated fallout of irresponsible and/or undesirable behavior...If you want to blaze before the Hobbit...well...count me in...

Yep.

I'm okay with it passing but I have no use for weed at all. I haven't known that many people who can smoke it occasionally to enhance life but rather most of the people I know who use it use it chronically (pun intended) to be out of it and escape from their lives.

But yay for recognition of love, though nowadays I don't have much use for marriage either...
