My computer broke down and I was at the Sony shop getting it fixed on Monday and they had that Music Hall of Fame on and it was the first I've ever seen that. Anyway, I got there right when Adrock & Mike D were on giving their respective acceptance speeches. Afterwards, there was Kid Rock, MMM and mainly the Roots doing various BB songs.
What grabbed my attention was that MMM was wearing a Nuclear Assault shirt. They were a thrash band in the mid80's out of NY that I still listen to. The bass player, Dan Lilker(sp), played with Anthrax when they first started then moved onto form NA. (He was also in S.O.D. and shame on you if you've never heard of them). I found that interesting that he was wearing their shirt bc they never were really "big" per se but had a cult following. The vocalist, John (something Irish) has as distinct of a voice as whoever it was that leading the charge for Vio-lence. NA's best LP IMO was Handle w/ Care. It's sick. The one that my friends at the time seemed to dig more was the following one, Survive. Their 1st one was a great one but I don't much care for Survive and didn't like anything they released after that.
