I think it is just a tribute magazine that a company (or person) (http://www.prweb.com/releases/funeral-software/funeral-programs/prweb10294089.htm)
put together. It does not have anything to do with the actual
private family memorial. People try to make profits off
death and tributes (crass really). It is sad that some fans think that this was the official
memorial material.

That's the only thing for me that thought it might be legit - all the band lineup/writing on the back. Some more seasoned vets may have seen that writing before, but not me.

In fairly poor taste, but either way, fodder for conversation.

It could have been from some sort of 'industry' memorial (i.e., not the family members' memorial). For example it is not out of realm of possibilities that someone like DMC (http://gothamist.com/2012/05/09/dmc.php) (see link) organised a small group of people from Beastie Boys' past to pay respects during a function. Then one of those people hard up for cash sold the booklet for a profit. I am sure MCA would not care if someone really needed the cash. Alternatively, the document could be a complete fake. It is most definitely not the family memorial though.

If it is real, it's kind of sad. I am sure it was probably someone who may have loved Adam and for whatever reason may have desperately needed the money. I would like to think that. I would like to think that they feel terrible about doing it.

It just does not look like something that was created to make $$$ from. It looks personal. Looks like, from the few things I could see, things that have meaning to those and from those close to him.

Such a personal and sensitive tribute shouldn't be up on the internets for the highest bidder.
