Adrock and Mike D sit in on Questlove's Class

The Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock and Mike D sat in on the final day of (Professor?) Questlove’s class on classic albums at NYU. The Roots’ drummer extraordinaire posted photos of the guest teachers on his Instagram (http://instagram.com/p/W4-M2VQa-w/) today.

As previously reported (http://www.jambands.com/news/2012/10/17/questlove-will-teach-at-nyu), Questlove has been teaching a course on “Classic Albums” at NYU’s Tisch School this semester. The class explored the music, lyrics, production and marketing behind certain albums in order to examine why some are considered “classic” or “seminal.”

I think that's great that they are still at least appearing together in some form or fashion. The look on their faces indicate it's been a pretty damn long year though.

Can you imagine sitting in on a seminar on Paul's Boutique with Mike D and Adrock? It's like hip-hop fantasy camp. Really cool to see them do something like this together - just talking about music.

he plays for Fallon, teaches a master class at NYU, Dj's at Brooklyn Bowl, jetsets across the world with The Roots, then shows up in Austin for a secret gig with Justin Timberlake for sxsw.
