Just imagine - imagine that this never happened.

In case you were wondering, the price tag for the war in Iraq could eventually top $6 trillion.

Tuesday marks the 10th anniversary of the U.S. invasion, occupation and slugfest of Iraq, which, lest we forget, was begun in the name of protecting us from weapons of mass destruction that never existed.

Fresh evidence has been revealed about how MI6 and the CIA were told through secret channels by Saddam Hussein's foreign minister and his head of intelligence that Iraq had no active weapons of mass destruction

On 10 year anniversary bombs kill nearly 60 in Iraq

guess it's not over yet?

Looks more like it's a bigger mess now than 11 years ago

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/03/19/us-iraq-violence-idUSBRE92I04Q20130319

(Reuters) - More than a dozen car bombs and suicide blasts tore through Shi'ite Muslim districts in the Iraqi capital Baghdad and other areas on Tuesday, killing nearly 60 people on the 10th anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein.

Countless civilians dead, thousands of US soldiers dead, destroyed infrastructure/environment, lost culture, destablization of the region - but thank god Cheney has a new heart (n)

technically it's been 20+ years of bullshit since the first gulf conflict.
back then hussein's generals just wanted political reconciliation and all they had to do was pick hussein up. now it's been more than a 20 year debacle that has made alot of bad people rich. it makes me sick living in this country seeing it now after all the good it could've been.

bush and powell and co conducted mass terrorism on a civilian population over lies and to this day the real truth still has yet to surface.

The USA needs its bases in the middle east to keep tabs on Afghanistan and Iran as well as keeping their hands on the oil.. so the war will continue.

Bush "comfortable" with Iraq Legacy

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/15/george-w-bush-iraq_n_3084187.html

Former President George W. Bush reflected on his tenure in the White House during an interview with the Dallas Morning News published Sunday, saying that he was comfortable with his decision-making regarding the Iraq War.

"I'm confident the decisions were made the right way," Bush explained. "It's easy to forget what life was like when the decision was made."

I guess he's happy with this

http://rt.com/news/iraq-election-attack-killed-876/

A string of bombings across Iraq has claimed at least 55 lives, injuring 300 more, on Monday. The surge in violence comes barely a week ahead of Iraq hosting elections for the first time since US withdrawal from the country.

Officials said bombings hit 12 different areas, leaving 55 people dead and making Monday the country's deadliest day since March 19, AFP reported.
