i was looking for that a few months back, im pretty sure it was during LTI era, so early Stern show, and i dont know if it was even on tv so the chances are fewer itd be on youtube... Stern brings it up during the ione skye interview where she details some of her and adrock's split and being on tour w the guys...

You gotta get that onto digital format! That would be something to hear.
Howard clearly wasn't crazy about the interview but I'm betting it's because the BBoys always are in the driver's seat during interviews and they were unwilling to relinquish it to Howard.

Just uploaded it from my files: http://www.putlocker.com/file/DC73C131192546B0
Sorry it cuts off before the end.
Just listened to it again - a bunch of interesting nuggets in there. At one point when asked what's next for them, they answer "beatnik disco" - the seed of a Hey Ladies reference in 1987.

Who hasn't he talked shit on? This is Howard Stern we're talking about.
Besides the stuff he's said is hardly "talking shit" at all by Howard standards

If there's one guy out there who's been as influential to me as the Beastie Boys its Howard Stern. He's a small rung below, but he's close.
For the record, I remember him saying something along the lines of "those guys were the worst interview I've ever had. I dig their music and all but they were young and wouldn't give me anything."
Paraphrasing, of course.
PS, this audio has been posted on this board at some point. I distinctly remember listening to it after finding it on here. Depending on how far back the archives go it could be buried in here somewhere.

i think alot has to do with howard being friends with rick rubin and rick probably talked so much smack about the beasties over the years it stuck in howards head.
btw, i got a friend request from rick rubin on facebook yesterday. dont know if its legit.

Come on man, I can't be bothered to actually read posts in these threads! You're giving me way too much credit here.

I thought Howard was funny in the 90's. After a while his act just got old with me.
Private Parts the movie is still watchable, but I've recently seen some of his newer interviews on You Tube and it's a struggle to get past 5 minutes.
