so for whatever reason there's a rabbit family in my yard. in the middle of the city there's rabbits living under the back porch. the neighbor's cat has been hanging out in my yard more than normal for obvious reasons. he's been rounding up all the baby bunnies one by one and fucking chewing their heads off. sometimes he just bats them around and plays with them. whenever he catches one they screech and then a ton of starlings(black birds) follow him and make a huge ruckus. i'm not sure why the starlings care about this but they do. the mother rabbit doesn't do a god damn thing about it and she's bigger than the cat. rabbits are so totally worthless. i just followed the cat around the backyard and helped him round up one of the bunnies and then chased off the mob of starlings. it was pretty fun. i understand why the cat does it. im not gonna eat no bunny heads though. that's sick.

nah man it was like teamwork. I didn't think cats were capable of teamwork or even acknowledging a human in that sort of way. through subtle hand gestures and eye contact I was able to direct him to where the little shit was trying to hide. he understood it. it was pretty cool.

I'm willing to bet the cat thought of you less as a teammate, more as a servant.

My friend who was visiting a couple weeks ago talked about the time they had two rabbits from a pet store. They were told they were both female, but such was not the case. After the mother gave birth, it killed its own babies by chewing on them and shredding them up. It clearly did not want to be a mother. I am not a fan of rabbits.
I'd help the cat too.

I help my cat find get the insects whenever they come into the house. When she was a kitten and I saw a spider or an ant near the ceiling, I'd pick her up and bring her closer to the spot. She'd kill the pest in a matter of seconds.
She also helped my ex-girlfriend and I become aware of a mouse hiding underneath the sink at my ex's apartment. We didn't let her eat the mouse though. When we found the mouse, it was inside the garbage can. I just tied up the bag with the live mouse in it and tossed it in the dumpster.

you gave him a chance at life, but he had to earn it
you're the SAW of mice

Ha!
Turd and Homsar are demented. Soon there will be a thread about beheading Koala bears.

Nor am I. It was the only way of ridding the mouse as it was becoming a problem. My ex got up one morning to get some water from the kitchen and it was still dark. She stepped on a mouse carcass that the cats had left on the floor. It's not safe for cats to kill wild mice or any animal due to risk of diseases.
It's sad we had to trap the mouse in the garbage bag, but such is life. We were also at risk of getting the hantavirus and other diseases from mice/rats.
