It's really bringing me down how dumb people are. From shipping shit to the wrong place to sales reps forgetting to submit orders, people emailing me from and to different accounts about the same thing instead of keeping the topic within one email thread, people not understanding what resolution or dpi is thinking I can take a tiny 72 dpi pic and turn it into a full res pic that prints perfectly.

I want to run away forever!!!

I love the awkward silences I always get when trying to explain this over the phone in terms a mentally challenged 3 year old could understand.

The silence is usually followed by something along the lines of:

"OK, but... I can make it bigger on my screen by zooming in. Can't you just zoom in when you put it on the cover?"

i have never been afraid of asking stupid questions

if i dont something i will ask

whats worse is someone saying they understood something when they clearly didnt and are too afraid to admit they dont know. Lots of that in my experience of work, winds me the fuck up

Stupid?...I feel incredibly stupid currently being as I’m working on a strategic planning committee with a sister agency in regards to African immigrants and barriers to social services…I thought I was reasonably knowledgeable about the continent but it turns out most my understanding is akin or equivalent to an in-between song rant by Bono…now that's stupid...

I'm seriously going to lose my mind, it might already be gone. I was just told that I should've sent a text to let the person know I had emailed him because otherwise he has no idea that I emailed him back. I was like, "but you can just check your email on your phone..." :( :( :(

Might I add this person drove here to look at the thing I emailed him.

Constantly. Not to mention the completely baffling lack of competency from major corporations who apparently can't find an .eps of their logo anywhere.

I do a lot of presentation work where they'll have just these enormous screens, and the best anyone at their company can come up with is a thumbnail and I end up having to trace their logo in Illustrator or something.

so now you're a graphics pro?

oddly - when I go and try to get something of exceptional quality printed, the printing people usually fuck it up

also when I worked as a back order "asshole" at this one company, NOBODY could get it right: the manufactures, distributors, buyers...no wonder nobody wanted my job. I cleaned house, but I guess I pissed too many lazy asses off who were there much longer than me.

I thought you were a teacher, fashionista, hipster extraordinaire, freedom fighter, master pie maker?

just fuckin with ya!

yeah, everyone is stupid but me

I haven't made a pie in years, but I am all of those other things. I probably look like a hipster, I mean I know I do, but I didn't do it on purpose. I'd consider myself a punk actually, based on my lifestyle and interests.

I effing hate that, when someone texts me to tell me they've sent me an email. WELL I WILL SEE IT WHEN I CHECK MY EMAIL THEN, WON'T I.

Ha, I was ready to say that hasn't happened to me, but it happened today. And so I checked my personal email, and it wasn't there so I checked the internal business email and it wasn't there, so I checked the email we only use with clients and there it was >:( wtf, crazy people
