Mix Master Mike -BB homage in Quebec city

Just want to pass along how glad I am to learn that they are doing an homage for the BB on June 21 2013 and that Mix Master Mike is part of the lineup(Actually he's main event ;) ). http://imperialdequebec.com/programmation/evenements/copy40_of_Kreator-Accept

This is such a great news! I heard it on radio today, on a station I don't usually listen to that much. :D Funny thing is, I bought a BB watch this morning , to have a collector item and help fund the Adam Yauch Park, that I will visit eventually.

So , for all the fan in Quebec city, I hope you know this event is happening this week-end!

I think Mike, being the Boys' number one fan, is absolutely in a position to pay the most fitting tribute currently. At least until it's decided how/when/why/where/if Beastie Boys should live on.

You got that right Kid Presentable, who would be a better fit for a tribute than MMM. Got my ticket and I can't wait! It's as close as I'll get to seeing them live I guess, so I will enjoy it to the full extent.

Miss them in their 2 last visits because I was a brand new father and pretty much out of it for a while. Last time, I learn they were giving a show, the day after the show. I was so pissed at myself. Then promised myself to never again miss a chance since we never know when they would come again. In 2009 they were coming back and this time I was prepared... But unfortunately the bad news came in 2 months before then show.

Anyway , I was lucky tickets were not sold out, this time around. Funny thing is, the radio station which partnered with this event, is not the kind of radio that plays the Boys and I doubt many Beastie boys fan are regular listeners(I may be wrong...;)). I for one, think this contributed to ticket not being sold out(which in the end is a good thing for me :) ). I wonder why they made that call, because they probably were not allowed to do commercials on other radio station.

I also posted this here because I hope to reach Quebec city fans(or anyone close enough to come) that may not have heard about it.

Mix master Mike is a fucking Magician! What a show ! I really had a lot fun, music was dope. What a masterful DJ!

Only down part was in the rest of the night , it did not feel like an homage to Bboys neither in the bar nor in the other Djs playing. Reference were scarce. I was expecting more.

But , all thing considered , Mix Master Mike's show worth every penny. Thank you Mix Master Mike!
