MTV VMAs in Brooklyn on Aug. 25.

I think you know who and you know who should perform you know what at you know where.

Ya with me?

Not following.

The drum pattern on a track off that new Jay Z clip has the same open hi-hat syncopation as TMR's break and hook. I'd think less than nothing of what is surely a coincidence if it weren't for the fact that RR is involved. Even then, I'm reaching like a mahfucka.

On topic, they could present something???

I'm not quite following either.

But maybe you mean Jay Z, Adrock & Mike D performing Hello Brooklyn?

That would be kinda cool, but it would go over 98% of the viewing VMA audience's head.

And plus, the illest rhymes in that song came from Yauch.
The song would be very lacking, being performed without him (same goes for NSTB).

But I'm probably missing your point entirely.....

why do they have a video awards if they don't play videos. YouTube needs to take over these awards.

oh and the new Pacific Rim movie looks like an amped up Hollywood rip off of the Intergalactic video!?!

Wasn't the Intergalactic video an amped up rip-off/parody of Japanese disaster-monster movies?

I'd say lo-fi/parody, with the dancing cardboard robot and all.

I guess I was thinking more about the man made and controlled giant robot fighting the classic Japanese style monsters from the sea.

Sounds like you know those types of films, do they do the Giant Robot thing?

I think so, like Robotech/Gundam.

Most of what I know about this genre was learned through Mystery Science Theater 3000
