Mike D created the last Kenzo show's music and was in Paris.
You can listen the soundtrack here:

He describes the track as a punk/trap stuff...

This is a good beat. Dark but upbeat. It reminds me a little bit of "Say It"

I'm surprised more people aren't on here celebrating the new music. I listened to this track 4 or more times in a row the other day.

Fuckin' A, new beats! Sounds like an extension of a lot we heard on Hot Sauce-is awesome to hear a solo Mike D jam.
Edit: This is my first time listening... wasn't expecting vocals.. fuck yeah this rules. Awesome sounds like Ad should bring in Mike D on the BS2000 buzz and create some new music for that. Got that raw chip tunes-type vibe.

I hadn't commented because it took me awhile to listen to this! I still don't listen to the band really anymore, but this isn't the Beasties...it's Mike D!
He killed it! I cried too. I turned it up loud and let it echo across my house. It's felt good too. I agree it's dark and channeled Say It.
I love you Mike.......is so proud of ya. ;)

Kid P snuck it in one of the Rick Rubin threads on July 1 so a lot of us had already heard it. A few commented on it. I dig it, but "celebrating" may be over doing it. ;)
I'm waiting for rhymes to be spat before I do that!

I heard it then too, but I think that was just a snippet and this is the whole track.
Why wouldn't we be celebrating? it's new music, that also happens to be good, by one of the Bboys. Rejoice I say, REJOICE!

Goes to Paris but can't go to Brooklyn for Park dedication or any of the MCA Days?

Maybe he was in disguise? Maybe it hurts too bad? Maybe <fill in the blank>.
We don't know so I wouldn't rush to judgement.

sorry I don't see why hood is so critical of Mike Diamond for simply living his life.
how do you know he wasn't IN Paris working on this project?
same thing happened with his art show last year. incredible bad timing and personal professional circumstances prevented him from being in NYC on the day of MCA's passing...
so anyway, yeah- Oscope Labs confirms this was recorded there...

Did I post a snippet?
EDIT: maybe I did. No doubt this is monumental, it's just being greeted by the same fanfare with which it was released. And that's cool.

People can love the MCA day stuff for all they're worth, but it's still a fan-generated opt-in exercise. Horovitz's endorsement says a lot about how warm a guy he is, but it isn't Mike's responsibility to get involved. Bit harsh.

This track is awesome. I want an LP of this material and I want it now. The New Reactionaries would be a fine name for a band.

Worked like a charm now it is in my itunes library under Mike D. I sure hope he releases a lp of similar material as it is excellent.

Good read. I didn't know Zdar had a hand in it. I'm glad he's excited about making music again. :)

The vocals rock for sure. I like the Rolling Stone interview:
Diamond, meanwhile, admits that the surprising, unlikely experience of creating "Humberto vs the New Reactionaries: Christine and the Queens Remixx" has "definitely got me excited about making new stuff again. I wasn't planning on that, but once I did it, it was cool," he says. "You'll definitely have to check back on MikeDAllTrapMusic.org to see what I come up with next."

It's kind of humorous how I get the shit knocked out of me for saying measly comments, whereas comments offensive to the actual BEASTIES themselves barely get anything. Whatev, I respect/back up anything Mike/Adam do so:cool:
ANYWAYS, what can I say~ D hasn't let us down once, he keeps giving us magic. Love ya Mike

You suck, they do not. Anyone anyone who uses the handle beastie fan should have been banned long ago for a lack of creativity. As for those who say shit about our fave band, while they do not hold enough weight of knowledge to challenge.
