why would you do such a thing?
coffee actually has some good medical benefits to it.
i rarely go a day without a coffee / energy drink.

I only started drinking coffee 3 years ago. I could probably give it up. I either like black coffee or a mocha. In between that is usually gross to me.
But yeah why no coffee?

is it not the 9 months thats the key here? isnt caffeine supposed to be reduced during pregnancy.
If so, congratulations. Hope it all goes well.
If i am ridiculously wide of the mark then apologies.

wife switched to half-caf during her PREGNANCY
which means I switched to half-caf during her pregnancy.
it's even okay to drink one cup of schwag coffee but a good idea to cut back.
did I mention my wife was pregnant?

yeah i read about that too, that it is no problem but i usually drink made coffee in those little cans or bottles... dont know if theres a decaf-ed version somewhere yet, maybe i have to go to dennys every two hours then!
anyway this thread isnt about coffee lol, it was just my way of telling that a baby is on the way

last week we heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time, it was amazing and scary at the same time!
mostly feeling my organs getting pushed out of the way, always throwing up when i brush my teeth and got gum pains but it's all worth it
still dont know the exact age of the fetus because the health insurance isnt completely through yet but the longer the first ultrasound takes the more likely it is that the baby will look like an actual baby instead of a crooked alien!
thanks for asking!

I'm going to tell you something now about being pregnant that's kind of freaky, but I'm not telling you to freak you out, I'm telling you so that IF it happens to you, you don't freak out:
Later on in the pregnancy, in the last trimester, you may suddenly and for no seeming reason get nosebleeds. There is actually a reason - a pregnant woman in late stages has an extra pint of blood, so your blood pressure is higher. This means a little thing like a small sneeze or even just rubbing your nose can cause some of the delicate blood vessels in your nose to break and voila! Nosebleed. Now, I did not know this when I was preggers and one day I was at work and I very gently blew my nose. A minute or two later an my colleague was like, "Your nose is bleeding." It wasn't gushing or anything, but yep, definitely bleeding. I was like HOLY CRAP what is wrong with me?!?!?! Because I had never before once in my life had a nosebleed. And at the time I didn't know about this extra pint of blood thing.
But ti turns out that's totally normal and happens to loads of women. Some it does not, some maybe get one or two, some will have several. But who knew? Not me! I mean look around, have you ever seen a pregnant lady with blood dripping out of her face? Because I sure hadn't!
So that's why I'm telling you. It might never happen, but if it does, don't freak out about it.

thanks for the warning! when i blow my nose i already see some blood sometimes but it is not like real nose bleeding yet and i still prefer that over having my period!
i usually do an onlie research anyway when i think something could be wrong so it's all good

I just started drinking coffee this past summer. That's what you're supposed to do in your 30's I guess. I started getting a lot of headaches, which I attributed to the coffee since I didn't change anything else in my life. I'm trying to quit already  .

I'd say that if you've gone this far without coffee, no reason to start. i actually get headaches if i don't drink coffee, which i'm guessing is an addiction and withdrawal thing. no reason to put yourself through it if you're doing fine without it i figure

How's it going, by the way? What trimester are you in? This is all sort of new to those of us not super familiar with pregnancy.
Does your husband drink coffee?

im probably at the start of the second trimester but i know for sure in a few days when i get my first ultrasound, especially for women like me it's important to know the exact age of the fetus because my rare blood type: B negative/RH factor could try to get rid of the fetus because it doesnt match with its blood type (i think) and for that i need to get a shot at the 28iest week
my husband is mormon so he never had coffee
