Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone else spotted Monsieur Nathaniel Hornblower in the new movie The Grand Budapest Hotel?
I was thinking it was a sweet tribute to Adam from Wes Anderson. If you haven't seen the movie yet, it is a blink and you'l miss it moment. A big shot of the hotel reception area and an old gentleman keels over. Some people rush to his aid including a Hornblower lookalike in lederhosen, red hair, and a huge st Bernard dog.
I was sitting there in the cinema thinking 'Omg its Nathaniel Hornblower!!!'

Anyway, I know that many swiss men in days gone by dressed in the same atire, but it was too much of a coincidence don't you think?
Fun movie too. :)

I haven't seen the movie, but this sounds very questionable for the reason you mentioned.

Did Adam know Wes Anderson? I am convinced it was meant to be Hornblower.
