Yesterday I was told by someone to apply for a full time 10 month contract job and I will get it. I said I will think about it but more on the no side.
The job is OK; it will be easy, I know the people and the money is OK but not great for what it is.
Currently do casual work at this place while I am half self employed roasting coffee and delivering by bike. It's fun but hard work and right now the money is very poor for the hours I put in but there is a buzz and potential is there but I need to invest more of my money.
Then yesterday I had the nearest of misses between a douche tractor and van driver which shook me up. Cycling in Nottingham is not as safe as London; this near miss has me thinking I should take the job as I can save some money and buy a piece of land somewhere to live like a hermit (the dream).
So take the job and survive another year on the roads? Or live the dream of own business and hope expanding investment pays off with potential of dying on road?
