sure complain a lot on the internet. they complain so much that I basically never want to have children...I only have like 5 years left to do it anyway, might as well not. I figure I'll just adopt a grown kid that's around the age of my friends' kids when I'm like 40 or so.

I mean, they really make it sound awful. I used to work with kids, so I know what they're like, I can't help but think the parents are just too lenient. Not that growing up with a father with a hair trigger temper was the best either...but, jesus, kids do whatever the fuck they want these days, they rule the roost. I know some cool quiet kids though, babies of one of my friends who was a big ladies man in the party days. they seem like they'll grow up to be decent at least.

ok that's all I think. Just interesting how my generation has pretty much spilled the beans on how shitty being a parent is and ruined my natural instinct to procreate. life is weird.

parents are very lenient. especially the suburbanites. they're all like... well since we live in the suburbs and have money our kids will be fine! they just let them do whatever they want because they seem to trust them because how could their kids ever be bad kids.

when I was 19, my girlfriend who was 18 wanted to introduce me to her best friend's family. her best friend was 16. so she was still in high school. they were a very typical suburban family. so anyways I'm over at this house feeling really uncomfortable. her best friend's friends had came over as well. they were all high school girls and one gay dude between 14 and 17. im this 19 year old dude from the hood going into my third year of college and im hanging out with these high school kids. I did not want to be there at all.

then all of a sudden the parents leave. they just leave. they went to go see a movie or something. they leave all these underage girls alone with some 19 year old guy that they don't even know. this would have not happen knowingly under and circumstances in my neighborhood. no parent would leave some horny 19 year old guy alone with a bunch of high school chicks in their house. as soon as they leave the conversations turned from normal innocent high school bullshit into getting fucked up and sucking dick. they're teaching this really innocent young girl how to suck dick and get fucked up. telling her what prescriptions drugs get you fucked up good and that her parents probably have some in their bedroom. giving her blow job tips and they keep looking at me all like... OMG HOT OLDER BOY.

im just sitting there with my girlfriend kinda separate from everything all like... what the fuck! why would they just leave me here! what is wrong with these weird fucking white people! they just left me here in their house with all this underage pussy! and they're talking about sucking dick and expecting me to join in and be all like.... yeah totally, that's how guys like it. I was genuinely mad at these parents.

my girlfriend sees that im not comfortable at all. so she takes me to this other living room they had in the basement. if you leave two people alone, a dude and a chick, at that age, they're gonna fuck. so eventually we're fucking on this family's family couch in their other living room they had in the basement. the whole time we're fucking all the little girls up stairs are poking their heads down the stairs and making coy comments... what are you guys dooooooiiiiiiingggg down there. can we coooooome down toooooo? if I was a total dirtbag and if my girlfriend was into it I could have had some weird fucking underage orgy if I wanted. right under the noses of these totally clueless parents.

then the parents come home and all the other friends leave and we all have dinner together with this family. im all relaxed and sweaty and greasy. totally looking like I just fucked. my girlfriend's hair is all over the place and she's still all flushed. and we're sitting there eating dinner. the parents are just fucking oblivious and im all worried because I left a massive sex stain on their couch. I just wanted to fucking leave.

I told my girlfriend I didn't want her hanging out with those people anymore.

That sounds pretty normal. Kids these days probably just go ahead and have the orgy.

My mom used to spend the night at her boyfriend's house on the weekend sometimes when I was 18/19, so my friends would come over and get drunk and this guy I liked would come over and we'd make out. She woulda never found out if she hadn't eavesdropped on my phone conversation (the dude would call me at midnight and we'd talk until 3 or 4 am sometimes. Which she knew about, but would sleep through.) She thought we banged and was more concerned about that than the drinking, ha. Anyway, that was the end of party nights at my place. But by then we could just drive to Canada to party because the drinking age was 19 there. Once my friend and I just went in a van there with a bunch of dudes we didn't know (I met one of them in an aol chat room) and got all crazy. How stupid is that? Jesus!

Anyway, I feel like parents my age are too lenient with the little ones but might be way more strict when they become teens. It'll be interesting to see it unfold.

My daughter's kinda awesome. We're pretty lenient with her. I mean insofar as we give her a lot of latitude to explore things and disassemble the machinery if she likes. But we also give her a lot guidance. A lot of kids just get left off somewhere to be raised by an iphone or something. Or they see no intervention until they're actively throwing rocks off a bridge and even then intervention by police or some other stranger.

Anyhue, kids are awesome. We have a nice network of kids and childcare exchange in our community and the lot of em are turning out great.
