I don't think so... I think it is just a free on-line video.

I don't think it was. Unless it's on YouTube or something. I hope it's awesome with high quality sound so I can spazz out with the ear goggles all alone! Getting excited for this. I'm even gonna wear my Paul's boutique 20th anniversary shirt for it... Haven't heard the album front to back in a long time so it'll be a good time no matter what...
Just wish I knew about the sound quality so maybe I can sync it up at the right time like Dark Side of the Moon with The Wizard of Oz (which I've actually never tried)

Nice. Call me old-fashioned but I'm waiting for Paul's Boutique Day to watch. This is going to be better than the 5 year anniversary in 1994, when I had a keg party at my parents' house and my dog ate the cake off the table that had HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY PAUL'S BOUTIQUE written in gold glitter glue on it because I didn't have a tube of cake writing. She was fine, incredibly.

I couldn't wait.. It was pretty good.. Little spoiler but I loved how they synced up vocal samples from actual video clips like Bob Marley, KRS1, Chuck D, Johnny Cash etc.
High Planes Drifter was my favorite. 5 piece chicken dinner was scary! What Goes Around was hilarious. Overall an excellent job. Lots of fun.
Would it be possible to upload the tracks individually later? I could see individual videos being huge successes on YouTube and becoming the go to unofficial videos for these songs. Thanks for the hard work!

Very well done.

- they nicely synched up Yo! MTV Raps footage for both 3-Minute Rule & Dropping Names
- if you liked ODB's Got Your Money video, then you're going to enjoy What Comes Around because it features clips from Rudy Ray Moore movies

A couple of minor nitpicks:
- for Hello Brooklyn, I hoped they would have used a clip from the telethon episode of Welcome Back, Kotter when Mrs Kotter says "Hello Brooklyn"
- for Johnny Ryall, they could have done more than just using the cartoon

Overall, it was great. Definite must see material.

i agree overall it was great. not to be too nit-picky but i think eggman (which i admittedly hold close to my heart, as it was the first song i ever remember hearing, my older brother played it for me when i was like 3) was weak. the random jaws clip before the audio clip appears and the repetitive psycho visuals for the hook seemed like kind of a cop out in comparison to the rest of the compilation. but like i said, overall great work and i am happy its available to the public.

while watching it, i thought about what if someone who has never heard the album, experienced it with the visuals for the first time (as some in the future may very well do.) in my opinion, i feel that it would be important for future generations of beastie fans to experience PB as just the audio first, which is of course how we all did. i know i'm not alone in saying that the visuals played out in all of our minds, and that this compilation might skew that to a new audience.

i know personally, i always had a very strong mental image from my imagination of the guys in their three piece gobo booth in the studio recording 3 minute rule. much like watching a book adapted into a movie, i think seeing these visuals from the compilation might take away from the imaginative visuals that we all had for each song. but i still say it is excellent work and a great work of tribute and passion.

I want to find the actual footage of them live where MCA is wearing the A's hat. Anyone know where that's from?

My two cents.

To All the Girls looked great with all the different clips. I will never get bored watching the Shake Your Rump video. I gotta say I was bored one minute into Johnny Ryall. The cartoon was cool for a while but it didn't synch up that well with the song. Egg Man was pretty cool as I'm a HUGE Jaws fan, but it seemed repetitive. High Plains Drifter got things back on track for me with the random clips (Night Court) going in and out. The Sounds of Science was back to the weak sauce for me. The Jerry Lewis scenes were boring It was cool seeing the movie move to the scratching, but other than that I was mad bored. I also thought it was kinda lazy to put up just logos for Adidas and Fila. 3-Minute Rule was ill, period. We finally get to see the Beasties again! I was wondering where they've been hiding this entire time. The MCA verse was great to watch. Dude was mad funny. Thank you. We all know Hey Ladies. 5-Piece Chicken Dinner was funny and disturbing when you think about it. Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun is pure classic Beasties we all know and love. Car Thief was on point! Krush Goove Beasties, Barney Miller, Ricky Powell, Rush Rush in Tougher than Leather... Good shit. What Comes Around was a Rudy Ray Moore compilation I could sit through once or twice. Shadrach may be my favorite Beasties song all time and the video will never ever get stale for me. It's a live performance set to paintings! Sheesh, that's brilliant. Fuck I love that song! Ask for Janice is great to see again if you have the Skills vhs but you don't own a vhs player (like me). All of B-Boy Bouillabaisse was great because it was pretty much all Beasties clips. I fux with it.

All in all I thought it was entertaining. You can tell that a lot of love and effort went into the project, so I respect that. Some parts were really great and others lost my attention. I was really stoned watching this, so that might be part my fault as well. Anyhoo, it was a fun watch, I enjoyed it, and I would def recommend (and I have) this to any Beasties fan. Well done whomever made this.

Paolo, one of the creators of the film, wants to post here but the board is telling him that registrations are disabled. He has an account already but he's never been able to post with it. He's logged in but still can't post. Any ideas on how to get his account functioning?

So true for me too. Shadrach is like a breath of fresh air every time I listen to it. And the video is something else. I enjoy and value the sentiments expressed in LeRoy's book too.

Nope, Shadrach live was not on wax/cd/tape. It's only on the videos they put out (the "Skills to Pay the Bills" VHS/Laserdisc had two versions of Shadrach live, one that was just video feed (the "mosh" version) and the other with the cartoon overlay (the "abstract impressionist" version). If I remember right, he Critereon DVD that came out much later just has the "abstract impressionist" version of the video.

"Shadrach live" was on the Paul's Boutique 7" set, but that was a bootleg.

The live b/w video IS on the Criterion disc. Select "alternate angle." You can even watch the two versions overlaid on top of each other
