Was there any reason given for why Futterman's Rule didn't make it onto The In Sound From Way Out? I remember listening to that album back in the day and thinking about how awesome it would have been to have Futterman's Rule in the mix somewhere, considering all the other Ill Communications instrumental cuts made it to the mix.

One of my favorite instrumentals, no doubt.
I think the reason is because of its guitar sound a-la sabotage, which is pretty awesome but doesn't fith with the whole jazz or easy listening vibe that the TISFWA has.

I miss also a full instrumental versión of "Honky Rink". That would be dope.

i agree with both posts; i always wondered about futtermans on 'the in sound' too, but eventually realized that it was probly just too rock oriented for what they were tryna do with that record. one of my fav instros though fsho. honky rink probly met the a similar fate, as in it was likely too light and humorous for that album.
