Sadly, there appears to have been quite a lot of well-loved famous people dying recently it seems (Lou Reed, Rik Myall and Robin Williams, to name a few), and I've done my best to not jump on the bandwagon or get overly involved or morbid. Shit, like others here, I'm still getting my head around the loss of Adam Yauch.
I can't claim to have been a fan for a long time, or to know much about the guy really, but as the Beastie Boys introduced me to the music of The Jazz Crusaders/The Crusaders, this seemed like an appropriate place to commemorate the passing of The Crusaders pianist Joe Sample - If for no the reason than to introduce someone else to the awesome 'Way Back Home', as the Beasties did for me...
