Adam Adamant Lives! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V96-kvbZwQk)

I had no idea this was a thing. I wonder if either of the Adam's had seen or heard of the show. Obviously it's a clever line, with or without it being a TV reference. Though it is a in a song and album resplendent with it's television references.

That's crazy. I'm adam and I'm adamant about living large. That's sounds like they at least heard about the show. But either way that's awesome.

Yeah! My guess (and that's all I can do is guess) is that they had seen the show, or at least knew of it. I remember at some point learning that MCA was a huge Monty Python fan, so it's possible he was into British TV in general.

By the way, i learned of this while reading trivia about Austin Powers, out of sheer boredom, at work today. I guess the plot line is really similar and it was part of the inspiration for Mike Myers to make Austin Powers.

Well if it's from the mid 60's it makes sense. Most things they reference come from that the 70's and stuff they grew up with.

I learned long ago that pretty much everything they say is a reference of some sort. It's true spirit of hip hop, both musically and lyrically. B-boys for life!!!!!

That some point was probably from the wayback interview included with the Some Old Bullshit disc - he's flowing with Holy Grail references in that, IIRC.
