Anybody who's had to deal with the typical cable/satellite TV or internet company here in America will probably relate to this SNL sketch from 1976 featuring Lily Tomlin - to modernize it just substitute "cable" or "satellite" for the word "phone":

FYI for the young whippersnappers reading this :D: there used to be only one phone company in most parts of the U.S. until the early 1980s, the Bell System (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_System). That legal monopoly actually had some advantages but ultimately was broken up.
