So, I moved across the country and finally got to go to my favorite record store again.
They had a copy of the Flaming Lips' new "With a Little Help from My Fwends" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/With_a_Little_Help_from_My_Fwends) on vinyl and the album art was, despite being kind of a desperate attempt at being trippy, enticing. I gave it a listen this week. I'd say about half the tracks are actually pretty good - kind of a variation on a theme appeal more than being interesting for their own sake. Miley Cyrus even sounded kind of good in a laconic way.
Anyone else check it out?
