This Ski Beatz comp was supposed to drop today, but it's being held up for some reason. Anyway, there's some snippets there that are well worth checking for. There's a few meh rappers on it, but most of the beats are excellent. The beat with Jim Jones on it is especially en fuego.

Finally got around to getting Wale's album. It's pretty good. That O.C and AG album is fucking tight, too. And I stepped out of my comfort zone and got 'We are Young Money' and it's a good album to bbq to. (y)

big boi also has some new music out. coming off his album coming in july. really good track, i suggest checking it out. its called general patton. theres also a track with andre thats not going to be on the album that is out too thats worth your time.

but heres some of the other stuff thats obviously not getting as much shine, with a sample track from the album for each artist..

yelawolf (sorry about the dj shit on this track) just dropped some work...trunk muzik 0-60

n.e.r.d. put out "nothing"....which actually doesnt have a whole lot of rap on it but its pretty good music.

big k.r.i.t. dropped a really good tape called k.r.i.t. wuz here. southern rapper but dope, produced the whole thing by himself.

curren$y dropped pilot talk 2. if anyone know the hot spitta you know he is just smoooooth on the mic, and this album has the beats that match perfectly. great smoking music.

a big L album just came out called return of the devils son. its all new production with some new vocals, but most of it is verses you have already heard. its still dope, but i dont really feel a need to post a sample of this. if you know L and like him youll prob check this out. if you dont know who big L is i dont know why you are in this thread.

cee lo dropped his awaited album the lady killer. this album is cee lo exclusively showing his vocal range with no rapping. but considering he has a very good voice theres nothing wrong with that!! im assuming everyone has heard his "fuck you" track, so i put something else to showcase the album instead.


the alchemist and Oh No put out an album called gangrene in which they share both production and rapping duties. some great shit here especially for the beat heads.

the left, a group outta detroit, drops an album called gas mask. its got that detroit sound that youd recognize if you listen to black milk. the track i posted features kool g rap.

roc marciano dropped one of the albums of the year called marcberg. it dropped in the first half of the year but it deserves mention. roc used to run with busta in the flipmode squad but is doing his own thing. produced the album himself, has a great 90s feel with some dope drums thumping throughout the album. hes gonna be re releasing this in a deluxe capacity soon.



couple notable singles. the first detox single (allegedly) by dre with snoop and akon on it called kush. which is okay, but id expect more from this album. i liked the jay z under pressure track a lot better. nice kraftwerk sample. been a couple tracks from the bad meets evil project with eminem and royce that have been released. living proof is one of them.

I don't know if it will. I hope Dre comes through but from what I've heard and what he's been saying in interviews, it's not sounding good. Maybe the pressure's too much for him at this point? I mean 10 years son, shit. What you been doing?!

cyp - thanks for the hook ups, some I already heard- the Cee-Lo album is particularly dope- but I'll check the rest out. You really like Big K.r.i.t.? I just can't get into him no matter how much people rave about him. Same with the new N.E.R.D, I just don't get it.
