This is really hitting me hard. I think I'm feeling more saddened by this than any other celebrity death.
Most people remember Cornell for his powerful vocal range and hit Soundgarden songs. But I dont think I have related to any other songwriter more than Chris Cornell. I feel like the lyrics "got me," and even though the meanings of them changed as I got older I could still relate to them. Everything from depression, addiction, hopelessness and disgust to trying to force yourself to be positive, to faking having faith and hope. This was all real stuff. Makes me feel like, what hope is there for any of us?

He had just played a show that night with Soundgarden. The last song they played that night to close that show was a cover of Led Zeppelin's In My Time of Dying...

That's one of my all time favorite epic songs. What the fuck.

Soundgarden just recently got back together and a released a great album. And cornell just finished touring with Temple of the Dog and was currently touring with Soundgarden. What was running through his mind.

Just got my copy of Vanishing Point on blu. Chris Cornell was one of the talking heads in the "making of" doc.

I do believe there is hope. And some might argue I am the last person who should believe in hope. Hope might have something to do with Love
