Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
Sunderland season ticket holder here, been going since 86 so seen plenty of ups and downs. Mainly downs though:D
Looking forward to the season starting, missing the crack that comes with going to the match. Hopefully we can sign a couple more players but hardly and players are changing hands at the moment. We should see that change over the next 2-3 weeks |
Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
Right, predictions:
Last year I predicted Chelsea, and i'm gonna do the same again. Just don't see anyone beating them. If I was gonna do an interesting one, i'd say United not to finish 2nd. Although they probably will, i'd say there is a chance they might not. Other prediction: Everyone again will write Gunners out of the top 4, but they will be there, as always. Jack Wilshere to shine. Man City to collapse in a heap of shit. |

Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
I think it's a bit too early to make predictions. there's probably still some significant moves to be made.

Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
True.
I'm hoping we land Ozil. Bremen have dropped there asking price so come on Fergie 'sign 'im up'. |
Re: English Premier League 2010/2011

Predictions: 1)Man Utd. We were written off last year and came mighty close, same squad , more experience and hopefully more options up front and we can do it. 2) Chelsea - its gonna be tight though 3)Arsenal - big scrap for 3rd and 4th but the gunners have enough experience i think 4)Liverpool - I think Hodgson will unfrotunately get them rocking quite quickly. 5) City - will miss out again just cos they have too much at disposal and i dont think mancini can find his best eleven until second half of season and it'll be too late 6)Birmingham - shock predict, i think they will build on last season and improve on second half season form 7) Spurs - I think they'll struggle if they qualify for CL group stages but will rally late and always good bet for a cup. 8) Everton - always steady 9) Villa - might struggle this season 10) Blackburn - mid table as usual Newcastle Blackpool Bolton Wanderers to be relegated ( thats just wishful thinking really) |

Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
in other news, i hate footballers.
In the Irish league, my team's best player this season 'retired' last week due to 'personal reasons'. Tonight he has signed for one of our bitter rivals. They're all scum. |
Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
Woy Hodgson and Kenny Huang dream team set to dominate.

One relegation and the poor souls thought it was the end of the world. Hasn't really been a good time to be a Sunderland fan over the past 20 years, first we had the Keegan era(the first one that is) when we were mainly rubbish, then we had to endure getting laughed out of the PL with what was then a record 19 points, them we even managed to beat that with 15 points 2 years later. Its fair to say Newcastle fans rubbed our noses in it big style over them 2 seasons I want them to really suffer like we have |

As for Wolves, i dunno this year. I can't afford a season ticket for the first time in years which is poo. I think we've made some smart signings and we'll stay up. As for where, 15th or above seems a reasonable target. I'll give my top 7 at the end of the month... |
Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
Blackpool could be a canny bet to beat Derby's points record this time round.
They fans, players and manager will soon find out its hard to 'enjoy' it when you are getting stuffed each week |

As for you lot, who knows, did really well to stay up but are you gonna do a stoke or a hull. oh wait, you bought steven hunt. :p there's about 11 teams that could go down and i think you should be ok |

ps i hate birmingham. i think we'll do ok this year. where did stoke finish? 12th? i'd be made up with that... as long as we don't start playing like them. can't see us doing a hull either, we don't have the crippling debt or managerial instability. as for man utd, i dunno. too early to say, ozil would be a good signing though i think. |
Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
So glad we beat Stoke, they're so shit and deserve it. Did anyone catch David Jones' freekick on MOTD?
Next humiliation: Birmingham. How wank were they yesterday? They managed to drag themselves to a dodgy 2-2 draw. Their luck must run out soon. Also, Blackpool! Also, Baggies (LOL!) |
Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
fuckin' Chelsea.

Re: English Premier League 2010/2011
great first day of the league.
teams just seem to bring goals as gifts when they visit Stamford Bridge. WBA did all they could to make sure Chelsea felt at home. nice win for Blackpool, but Wigan were abject. Maynor Figueroa looked like he didn't want to be on the pitch. poor effort. Arsenal v Liverpool today.....2-1 Arsenal...hopefully. |
