Re: Welcome

Isn't it a good idea to put allready a accapella of "check it out" online so every body can make nice remixes ?

Re: Welcome

We're looking at all this stuff right now, this is just a start on it.

Hey, I'm big fan of you remixers and I'm here!

Got a lot remixes from everyone on my hard drive, this is a great idea as a separate board, that way it'll be easier to find new remixes and keep up with the Check it out remix explosion. Every other thread on the general Beastie discussion was about a remix. Don't see it in a negative light, its the impact you guys have made on this site.

...and keep it going full speed! (y) otherwise you'll end up like the BS2000 thread

i think it's cool the remixes is seperate from all the other threads, it's like that beakfast nook you always wanted where you can eat your english muffin in and eat your bowl of KABOOM! cereal...

Re: Welcome

I've thinking about the remix forum and now I believe it's a good idea to have a place where we can share tips & tricks, hardware & sofware recomendations, feedbacks, collabos and a lot of things... but however, i think it should be allowed to post the FINAL PIECES in the beastie general. you know, this can be a forum to share information, but the beasties fans who don't do remixes won't enter here, so please allow us to post some remixes there once in a while. it won't bother at all the other members

minton 05-18-2004 03:41 AM

Re: Welcome

Try and keep it all in here. Don't worry too much about people missing out on your work just because you're not posting about it in General Beastie Boys Discussion. If people are interested in Beastie Boys remixes, let's assume they'll check out this Remixes forum.

Re: Welcome

ok, so let's keep the rules and see what happen (y)
I have just finished a maths' class, so I've had more time to think about this while the teacher was talking, and now I feel I've act like a bit stupid. because the people of beastieboys.com have taken care a lot of a few remixers in the last years and now they are providing us A WHOLE FORUM... it's a huge honor for me to can say that I'm part of this, and I couldn't see the great privilege that this suposses.
So thak you very much, sorry for my first doubts and I'm here to help you in whatever I could. ;)

Re: Welcome

Well, I just want to raise up my hand and ask you guys this:

Is there any rules of how an remix can be, I'm working on a, well, blueprint for a certain way of remixing so that's why I wonder.

Oh, yeah, is there any good sites for easy and fast hosting?

Re: Welcome

Don't know about rules, but a remix is usually a whole new spin/angle/perspective of an existing track. Remixes don't necessarily have to have most of the key elements of the existing track, just one or two elements at least i.e the hook or vocals.

yes, it's called paradise, and we all are looking for it :D

the remixes... my advice is D.I.Y. do what the song transmits you. no rules. try something fresh and let us listen the result (y)

Dr_grogg 06-12-2004 03:29 AM

Re: Welcome

Cool, I feared that you wouldn't like my ideas, I made one remix already, made it fast so don't expect it to be good but if you like the ideas of it when you have listened to it, just tell me.

Oh, yeah, I will post link soon, I hope, since I got some site-addresses for hosting. (y)

I am completely newbie here, where I can get official samples to remix take for example ch-check it out. ???

KingPsyz 09-08-2004 11:39 PM

Re: Welcome

i dont care much for digital samples, but i'd like some vinyl accapellas and beats availible
maybe a special vinyl vault availible through the store with some gems picked by mix master mike and the band.

Hi, I'm new here to these forums. All these remixes got me curious about mixin' and remixin' and all things to that extent. I was wondering if you needed some special kind of computer program to remix those A Cappellas? Or if some how it sets itself up for you to mix-it-again?

You need to use special software to do it. Take a look around this Remix forum to see what other people are using and maybe check that stuff out.
