Isn't it 'whose'? It's posessive, right?

I realised it's just the end bit that's awkward to read, if I read it too fast the you and put become interchangeable. Hence the confusion.

na§tee 05-19-2008 05:38 AM

yes, it is whose. i used to be camo's personal grammar and spelling nazi but i gave up : ) he loves it really.

pauli, i ♥ your virus!

I only pretend to love it because you threatened to have some Labrador's attack me.

My grammar is generally perfect when I write by hand but I make a lot of school boy errors when I type for some reason. Typlexsic?

What I meant is that her legs are a lot better than some footwear models who have turned up to a few of my shoots at work.

Here is a typical model. Thats me at the bottom left with the tattoo on my wrist.

Re: The Family Album

I assisted on a fashion spread once for work experience, and I had to do all the crappy jobs (goes without saying). One of them was strapping the model into heels for the next shot while she had her makeup re-touched, and her skin was unbelievably soft. Like, I exfoliate and moisturise religiously and I've never gotten to that level of softness. She was also really nice. Life's not fair.

So you were the assistant to the stylist?

Here's the finished shot after I'd photoshopped the life out of it!

na§tee 05-19-2008 07:21 AM

for a long time i believed my ankles were too 'thick'. thick ankles. legs like treetrunks. so i neglected my feet (along with everything else) and treated them like what they essentially are - tools to get from a to b. i always wonder what it would be like to have pretty feet. i have bought lotions and potions and started routines but i never keep them up. i am way too lazy. i care enough to wonder what it would be like to have attractive tootsies, but not enough to put any effort into it. pretty feet are beyond me. pedicures, manicures, i've been late on that train and i'm never going to catch it at this stage. i may get my first ever pedicure this summer though, just so i can experience being unashamed in sandals for, oh.. all of one week.

Yeah, it was great - I really did love it, the pace and just the feeling of the whole shoot coming together.

I'd LOVE for someone to photoshop the fuck out of me, just once. Everybody knows magazine pictures are photoshopped massively, but it wasn't until I had a chat with one of the guys at ACP that I realised the extent - in some cases it was just ridic. Total eye opener.

I'll sort you out, but I need a semi good hi-res shot to start with

russhie 05-19-2008 07:48 AM

Re: The Family Album

I can rule that, haha- semi-good is a bit out of my reach. Also, I understand what high-res means, but what is it actually? (What makes something high-res is what I mean. I think) Is it really really time intensive? I suppose it depends on how, er, faulty the subject matter is, maybe? Fucking 20 questions, right here.

*is not smart*

camo 05-19-2008 08:48 AM

Re: The Family Album

hi res is basically image quality. 300dpi (dots per inch) is industry standard.

By semi good I just meant lit well and not a phone pic! :D

I'll do a few but I haven't really got the time to do full on proper jobs but I can do some basic skin swatching and highlights.

Her legs are softer looking ..... the photoshop version her legs looked bit BBq'ed.

Non taken. They were too soft in the raw image. The stylist put too much shimmer on her legs. The final image will probably seem to harsh to the majority of you because your monitors will not be calibrated to the same settings as mine.

It looks less darker on paper.

What happened to the website that has just everyones picture on?

GEA stopped doing it.

I let the domain lapse and someone registered it out from under me. I still have the web pages and structure, it could be easily put back online, but I figured in this day and age of facebook it's not nearly as worthwhile as it used to was.
